Stayed here for 3 nights on the third floor, quite a few steps (79 in total so bear this in mind). They did have a hook to travel your luggage upstairs. There were a few ants in the bathroom and a few wandering around the room. We did find that there was tobacco all over the desk when we checked...

We used this hotel as our base. It was clean and very basic and the staff were very helpful. They organised tours and transfers to the airport for us. They supply breakfast and will store your luggage while you are on tour. We went next door to the Ace Coffee which only opened a few days ago which was handy...

We booked the $20 twin room with windows, private bathroom and breakfast for 2 nights and stayed for 4. On arrival we were told the room was actually going to be $18 because we were on the 5th floor (hurray!) This is the most expensive we paid in Vietnam but seems to be a good price for Saigon. As in...

This is a great place. It was quiet and comfortable, even though right in the middle of the backpacker's District. The staff is super-nice and welcoming. I love that they gave me a little map and circled where the hotel was in relation to all the sights. It was a massive help!

Very friendly staff, booked all our tours and the airport transfer. It was possible to leave our bags in the hotel the whole day after checking out and they even gave us a meal before we left for the airport. Thanks very much!

There are several Madam Cuc hotels, but I recommend this one because it is a decent distance down a car free alley and therefore very quiet, and it the location is walking distance to most the things you want to see in Saigon, and there is an excellent market just 20 metres down the street. There is also a terrific...

I called to their landline trying to get a deal, they let me wait for like 5 minutes before hanging it up without saying goodbye. That's ridiculous, they gave me a quote of 19$ without breakfast, and I was just trying to low it down a little bit and she yelled to my face??? Ok some people please tell me...

Down a side street, which can take a while to find, but is mercifully free of the traffic and street noise at night while still conveniently located near the hustle and bustle of Pham Ngu Lao. Very helpful and friendly staff who can organise trips and book train tickets, laundry $1 a kilo. Breakfast of omelette and fresh fruit is...

Nice and smily staff. Good advice for the tour to mekong delta, it was amazing! Good and simple breakfast. No lift, be brave if you are on the 5th floor ! ;) Room without window, small but good for the price.

Here, I managed to sleep! Saigon's District 1 is very noisy but this hotel was miraculously silent at night, as opposed to most hotels in the Bui Vien area. It is located in a side street off the main tourist/backpacker/party street. Great location to explore in the daytime and go out at night. One very little negative point: the breakfast...
