We stayed here for one week in January this year, the staff were very helpful and as we were arriving from Australia late at night, we took the option to have a driver meet us at the airport ($10AU). The car was a little bit old but that's no problem for us. The staff were excellent and we were offered...

Stayed at this GH several times. Spotless rooms and perfect service by the girls. Perfect location in the backpacker area with several bars in the neighborhood. Free breakfast and free snacks (and noodles). One of the best places I've ever stayed in when I backpack.

We booked this place in advance before traveling to Saigon from Phnom Penh by bus. We were met at the bus by two of the girls from the hotel who brought us there, teaching us along the way how to cross roads in Vietnam. The staff, all girls when we were there, were exceptionally friendly. Our room was spotless and...

We stayed here 3 nights and it had everything we needed and more. Air Con, Big beds, Great service, Tidy, Good Location, Free Breakfast and Dinner (breakfast was jam and a baguette, dinner was noodles which was great for the one night we were too lazy to go anywhere!). Coffee and juice was also served free all day. So nice...

Mamdam Cuc is definitely all about value. At $15 with free breakfast, dinner, and internet, you can hardly find a better bargain in Saigon. It seemed like it catered to mostly Western tourists because the lobby was full of English speaking folks hanging out and sharing stories. As such, if you are traveling alone and on a budget, this place...

We stayed at Guesthouse 127 for 3 nights and it was fine. The location is good, you can walk to all the sights. The rooms can be a bit noisy, as there is some kind of theatre next door. Breakfast and dinner was included, dinner was simple but fine. Staff is kind and speeks good english. Wi-fi only seemed to...

Very unimpressed . Maybe we should have spent a little more for a better place but we had exceptionally good hotels in Hanoi/Hue for extra $US5-10 per night. Is Saigon that much more expensive? Problems: Booked months in advance and made several confirmations then final confirmation problem - their email down 2 days. Final confirmation on phone in which staff...

I cannot fault the service provided by Madame Cuc and her staff at Hotel 127.For example I had stayed with them 1 week before(5 nights, very clean good value hotel) I then turned up unannounced at 6.30am after a 10 hour overnight bus trip from Nha Trang and asked if I could use a room for a few hours to have...

It is fourteen years since I first stayed at 127, and I still stay there on every visit to Vietnam. Quite possibly I pay a little more than I would in other guesthouses in this very busy backpacker area of HoChi Minh City, but I don't know that I would get the level of service, the warmth of welcome, and...
