Very helpful staff, clean and budget type rooms. Just off the main bui ven strip where it's all happening all day long! The owner is happy to assist in booking tours or buses. And it's just down a lane so noise is not a big issue in a city that's v noisy!

We stayed at this guesthouse straight off the plan. It is at the end of a lane way off bui vien. The owner is very friendly and helpful and has great English. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere central to stay that is not pricey but still nice!

A lovely, quiet, small and clean family run guesthouse tucked away just meters from the bustling backpackers central in district 1 of HCMC. It only has 6 rooms over three floors and each one has air con, a big fridge, fan and TV. The family that run it were so kind and friendly and made it feel like home from...

Located at the end of a narrow alley, this guest house is a sanctuary from the noise and havoc of the surrounding backpacker ghetto. The family that runs Ngoc Phan is wonderfully friendly and helpful. The room is typical for this level of guest house -- nothing special but perfectly clean and functional. The bathroom is superb -- the shower...

The guesthouse is down an alley off one of the main tourist roads. This means you are right near the action but away from the noise. We checked in quite late with no problems. The clean room was adequately sized with a large bathroom. The room had a big fridge, TV and a wardrobe. The air conditioning worked very well...

We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased with this guesthouse. Our twin room was clean and bright, with comfortable beds, 2 chairs and a small table, fridge, tv and wardrobe and a large window. The bathroom was very good, with a walk in shower rather than the more ususl wetroom. Toiletries are provided. The reception area was also nice,...

Chau and his wife Wan run a super little guest house in the heart of the backpacker district. Tucked away at the end of an alleyway off the main drag of Bui Vien Street—a hub of teeming nightlife on a Saturday night----the place is surprisingly quiet. Our room on the first floor was spacious, with high ceilings, gleaming tile floors,...

The Ngoc Phan is in the middle of the backpacker district off of Bui Vien. It is close to shopping and many many restaurants and bars. The rooms were spacious and well kept. The breakfast offered was mediocre at best.

I stayed at Ngoc Phan for one night. The hotel is in an excellent location, right off backpacker street, but quiet since it's off the main road. The room would have been just fine, but it didn't seem like it had been cleaned properly before I arrived. The sink was dirty, there was no soap or shampoo packets, and there...
