Alright for one night stay and feeling the street in Hanoi. The receptionist helped get us currency exchanged in a good rate and also helped us set up our SIM cards. But the room was not nice and neat at all. Poor wifi connection on the fifth floor and poor bathroom facilities. Door to the balcony cannot be closed so...

When we checked in it was obvious they had overbooked and we were given a staff room. The room was behind the reception counter! When we arrived the room they ended up giving us had the door wide open and no mattress. The somehow acquired 2 mattresses in the 2 hours we had to wait to check in. The room...

The place, ok, not one of the best ever, but it's extremely cheap, has perfect location( very close to the lake, markets, pubs&clubs etc). But the best asset it has is Philip the receptionist, who is very friendly, helpful and funny. He connected us with the guy who sold us the bikes we use for our trip

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room smelt funny and we were on the 6th floor which nearly killed us walking up all the stairs. I put my laundry in and was told it would be ready by 7pm that day, it was still not back by 10pm. We were leaving the hotel at 6am the next day to...

Three of us stayed here for three nights. Pros: located in the centre of the old quarter, the superior room had a balcony, it is cheap, and the male receptionist had reasonable English and was helpful. Cons: the sheets had not been changed for our arrival although this was immediately seen to when we complained, the bathroom was very shabby,...

We had a reservation and they moved us to another low quality hotel saying they were full. We had to pay same price for a room without ac, full of moisture and ugly furniture. We didnt had enough time to look for another place, thats why we booked it in advance (5 days before) Dont go there!!!

Note this is a review for the Hanoi Riverside Hotel, 9 Hang Man, Hanoi. Room well sized and OK; bathroom disgusting due to a horrible smell. Got moved hotels for second night (staff seemed to want to move us to their other hotel down the street from the moment we arrived). 'A very nice breakfast' was promised - I ordered...

Overall I found no issues with the stay, my rooms balcony view was beautiful, breakfast was good, staffs are helpful, away from the downtown, a metered taxi can take you there for 100,000 VND. I had a local friend who stayed in the same hotel during my stay, so I did not felt any hassles in travelling to and from...

This is the hotel we decided to stay at rather than in town with the noise, we paid $50 /night and expected more, they moved us from one room to the next while they painted it. The place was not well presented whilst we arranged to go to Ho Long Bay and arrangements that were made when we first arrived...
