We stayed here for only one night as our Sapa stay was curtailed. It was perfectly fine, but there was a wide range of room types, from luxurious to windowless. I suggest arriving early as the nicer rooms get taken first.

Found this hotel in Hanoi's old quarter when I arrived in Hanoi. Rooms are very cheap (you have to negotiate), but unfortunately the only room left was at the ground level (half basement), so no windows. I suspect there had been floods in that room before (strange smell), but the good part is it was rather cool because of the...

We paid $22 per night for a very comfortable room with computer, fridge, TV etc., buffet breakfast incl. The hotel is centrally located and our room was quiet and clean. Did not experience any of the problems others report. Also recommend 69 Bar-restaurant almost next door.

We stayed here for four nights either side of a 3 day / 2 night trip to Halong Bay. $22 including tax and breakfast. Room 312 at least is bright, clean, modern and has an interet connection - which Im using right now. Has a TV and a good powerful hot shower. Laundry is $1 per kg. We moved here...

We were unfortunately moved from Sunshine 2 to Sunshine 3 when we extended our stay in Hanoi. We were told don't worry, Sunshine 3 would be better. It wasn't. Not by a long way. No lift. Had to carry bags up 3 flights of stairs. Dirty, mouldy room. In-room computer didn't work. Gloomy lighting, so no reading. Staff did not...

See our review for Classic 1 - They also own Sunshine hotels. Classic 1 put us in Sunshine 3 when room we had reserved did not exist. They then offered us a comparable room at the Sunshine 3, a few blocks away. This room worked for us so we took it. Problem solved, or so we thought. While at the...

This is a good example of how a gem like this could really unsettle the 5 star chains. This hotel has the perfect location right in the middle of the Old quarter and has fabulous eateries all around it. For the price you pay, you will get a decent sized room with your own ensuite toilet (large and big with...

We booked suites for the Classic 1 but was diverted here after we were told that the Classic 1 was under renovations. Grudgingly we complied as we had no other bookings when we arrived from the airport. On checking in, we found the man behind the counter more like a thug - very unfriendly, rude and not at all service...

Hotel is well-located in the Old Quarters. Convenient to find food and shopping. The Superior Room is clean and tidy with firm beds. Looks like it was repainted not too long ago. Bathroom has sufficient amenities and clean. Tv and Internet connection is decent. The only negative point is that the room was facing the street on the 2nd floor...

Overall, I was disappointed in this hotel. It's in a great location and close to great restaurants but with that also comes a lot of noise. The beds were hard (although big) and the rooms were cold. I asked for extra blankets and got them. I couldn't sleep at all in this hotel. Mating cats were a noisy problem! There...
