Solaria Hotel Hanoi is composed of 60 rooms on 9 levels including Family and Connecting rooms which are perfect for individual clients or families. All of our rooms offer the same services, their differences lie in their size and some extra facilities. As a rather unique characteristic, there are rooms have balconies or spacious living area. A breath of fresh air in the heart of Hanoi Old quarter! Inspired by Vietnamese traditional material, combination of grey and beautified by black, Solaria Hotel Hanoi welcomes its guests in a refined and intimate atmosphere. In each room, traditional material is staged in different shades and subtly punctuated with touches of the grey, the yellow from soil and the black of furniture which we meet in a table, a stunning bathroom… around four atmospheres while offering the conveniences of today"

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Upon arriving in Hanoi, I was taken about by chaos and intensity of the city. The riotous traffic, the plethora of smells, the blinding lights. All the sensory overload disappeared the moment I stepped foot inside the Solaria. The warm and serene welcome of the staff put my anxiety at ease immediately. They sat us down and gave us a invaluable run down of what to expect and how to thrive in Hanoi; explaining how to handle walking the streets to where to find the most delicious food, all the while serving us delicious cake and freshly squeezed confectionary drinks. During the following three days and nights my partner and I experienced a level of service rarely seen at most establishments. We had a absolutely delicious breakfast served daily. Our laundry was done promptly and with great care. If we needed any amenity it was there at a moments notice; all provided with warmth, care, and a genuine smile. If you are considering visiting Hanoi I can only hope in your best interest you choose The Solaria Hotel as the place you lay your head. 10/10, would visit again!

The hotel is cute and perfectly located, just 2 blocks from Hoan Kiem Lake. Nice comfortable bed and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is huge and modern. The restaurant where you’ll have your bfast is beautiful as well and plenty of delicious options of international and local dishes. BUT the real superstar of the hotel is the staff! WOW! AMAZING SERVICE with impeccable attention to detail. Liam, Anya, , Klang and so many more members of the staff whose makes I don’t remember but AMAZING! All of them. The best customer service you’ll find in Hanoi!!

We simply loved our stay at Solaria! The staff at the Hotel is wonderfully attentive and make you feel so welcome! Serving you with refreshments while personally see to your check-in! Kudos to Mr Liem, Ms Daff and everyone there. They even provided you with a brochure on how to move about and what to look out for while in Hanoi. Absolutely caring and professional. We were impressed with our room as it's rather spacious, and the bed-set is silky and very comfortable to rest on. All in all, a 5-star stay for us!

Small budget hotel. Good location, walking distance to the lake and many tourist attraction. Rooms are clean, ask for a bigger room. The service is excellent, reception very helpful. Breakfast must try Pho and congee. It has its own spa and massage which is also very good: hotel guest has discount. Worth staying next time.

We just came back from a lovely stay at the Solaria hotel. We travelled to Hanoi for a special occasion and the experience at the Solaria hotel made our trip that much more special. From the clean rooms and thoughtful design, to the supreme breakfast, relaxing massage, and incredible staff (huge thanks to Liam and Anya at the front desk), we had a wonderful time at the Solaria. We were sad to leave and would absolutely pick the Solaria again next time we are in Hanoi.

From even before checking into the hotel to the staff helping take our luggage to our Grab car on our way back to Hanoi aiport, the entire staff has done an exceptional job in hospitality. If you're looking for good value on a 4 star hotel, this is your place to stay. Before staying at Solaria, my wife and I were coming from Ha Giang loop motorbike tour. We had to reschedule our bike tour to 4 days earlier since the weather forecast during our original timing would have been entirely rained out. Solaria Hotel was able to kindly accommodate our change of plans. We wouldn't be more grateful for their help and flexibility. After our wild adventure in Ha Giang and checking into Solaria Hotel, we were immediately greeted with an ice cool watermelon drink, a banana cake, and icy cold scented cloth to wipe your face. It was so refreshing. During our actual stay in Solaria, our room became our haven after a long day out adventuring Hanoi. The bathroom and showers felt very clean and our bed was perfectly comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. The Solaria Hotel location is perfectly near all the action without feeling too hectic. It is right off Hoan Kiem Lake, a great place in the morning to get an early morning run in, and also a great place on the weekend to walk with family and friends as they fence off the roads around Hoan Kiem lake for weekend activities, so it's safe for walking. In terms of service, Mr. Liam was especially hospitable to us during our stay. His careful attention to providing us recommendations for pho, banh mi, cafes, and bun cha were much appreciated as Hanoi's number of options for these types of foods can be overwhelming. He was especially kind in checking us into our hotel early, provided special attention and care during our breakfast in greeting us and talking with us. Thank you Mr. Liam for all the help and hospitality during our stay! Breakfast options were quite varied, from western foods to vietnamese cuisine. The pho was one of our favorites here to get in the morning! If you're wondering if you should stay here, I would highly recommend Solaria Hotel, great value for its quality.

We loved our stay at Solaria. The rooms are spotless. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are lots of breakfast options for all. The skybar is v enjoyable for a drink at night away from the busy city below.

Amazing people, service, and location. Lily and the team were fantastic all around, and provided helpful advice and recommendations. Location was fantastic just a block from Hoam Kiem Lake but away from the noise and bustle of the party district.

Spent four nights here during our trip to Hanoi. The hotel is clean, mattresses and pillows are comfortable, there was extra blanket provided in the room for those who like to sleep cold, the rooftop bar has very good cocktails, and breakfast had lots of variety with many options cooked to order. The hotel is ideally located on Old Town very close to lake and within walking distance to many of the sites. It’s a busy area, but our room was still nice and quiet. The best part was the service, which was outstanding. So friendly, sweet, and helpful. They can arrange anything for you. Would gladly return.

Location was walking distance from everything in the old quarter, but on a quiet street off a main road. The breakfasts were good. The service and support from all the staff including the manager was above and beyond our expectations.
