We ended up here because we couldn't find the place we were planning on going to (we arrived in Hanoi in the middle of the night). Although it was cheap (8$ for a double room with a/c) and the room was one of the best we've had in SE Asia we didn't enjoy our stay here. The staff was very,...

Booked via Orangesmile - seemed to be a good budget Hotel - they even arranged pickup at the airport - all seemed good. Arrived there - room was dirty - asked for cleaning (especially bathroom). Still empty bottles and stuff from the former guest in room. Came back room still not clean - inspected bed found cockroach in bed. Went...

Do not stay here! This is without doubt the most shambolic excuse of a hotel (and I use the word in the loosest term possible) I have ever had the mispleasure of visiting. The only hotel I have ever experienced of comparable inepetitude would be Fawlty Towers, and that may actually be unkind to Basil and the team. We'd made...

Friendly staff, price per night includes breakfest (bread with fried eggs and marmelade...for first day in Hanoi it is very important the breakfest in hotel, because you don't know what eat on the street). In hotel you can buy some trips, rent a motorbike,...

Room is big, window was big, bed was big. However, they had a major problem with mosquitoes. The first room they showed me had no windows and stank of smoke. They were ever so keen to talk to you until you didn't buy a tour from them then you were invisible. They tried to charge me $30 for a $9...

We found the Hotel by tripadvisor and did not get disappointed. The rooms are spacious and clean. The Hot shower works fine (and don't stop after 3 minutes like in some other Guesthouses). And everybody there is keen to help whenever help is needed. The location is very central but still not on a very busy main road. Thanks to...

When myself and my friend stayed with Mr Hao he was very welcoming and helped us at every opportunity to ensure we had the best stay in Hanoi. The two day Halong bay tour and the three day (with homestay) trek to sapa were the definite highlights of our stay in Hanoi. Everything he arranged was just as he said...

This was a nice place to stay in after a few nights at a really terrible hostel around the corner. The staff were friendly and did not try to sell us anything or scam us! The room was up 5 flights of stairs, but apart from that it was clean and spacious and we slept well.
