We stayed here at the start of our holiday in Vietnam. A great location. The room was comfortable but smelt a little damp (because the light and fan for the bathroom operates from by the bed and I think that guests forget to put the fan on). The bed was comfortable and even though the Old Quarter is quite noisy...

Our first night at the May de Ville was ok, although the room was really noise with random banging sounds all night there was also a creepy hole in the door that we filled with a sock, people could actually look straight through and see us in bed! bed was really comfy and room was really big and very nice....

The Old Quarter of Hanoi is a fun but hectic place to visit whilst in Hanoi, and the May de Ville Hotel on Gia Ngu is an excellent safe haven to stay at with all the creature comforts after a day is such a fast paced area of the city. We are on our third night of a five night...

I rate this place average as it doesn't stand out from the rest besides the excellent travel agency, cheap price, and free breakfast. The internet doesn't work anywhere besides the lobby. Also, we are two people traveling together and we were given one key for a 6 person mixed dorm. We were looked at funny when we asked for two...

We booked this Motel through our travel agent. Arrived late at night and checked in and found the rooms to be great, clean and tidy and a reasonable size. We were woken at 5am by construction noise next door. We sat this out for a while before having breakfast then speaking to the staff re: Noise. They apologised for this...

Stayed 2 nights November 2013. We had a large room at the back of the hotel which was, in theory, an upgrade, but the standard of furnishings was average and the bathroom had both a glass door and wall with the toilet right next to them looking into the room. The breakfast was the worst in 6 weeks in south...

Stayed overnight, room was really good, spacious with spa which suited showering of disabled son. Good sleep, great location in the Old Quarter and enjoyed lovely meal across the road at No 96 on the hotels recommendation. Breakfast was ok.

The hotel is located in the old quarter and is close to the lake, water puppet theatre and all of the restaurants, shopping, bars found in that area. The rooms are a mix of smaller and large sizes and we had one of the smaller rooms to start with which was adequate but lacked any wardrobe storage space for clothes....

We were overwhelmed with options when it came to booking a place to stay in Hanoi for our city break and ended up at the May De Ville based on location and what we thought would be 'mid range' given the price. As per the title upon arrival at the glitzy entrance we were hopeful that our premium double..with balcony...
