I had planned to stay just a day at the Hanoi Hostel but ended up staying for three. Candy and her staff are probably the most friendly people and accommodating people I've met. They give great advice for transportation, money exchange, things to do etc. The dorm also makes a great place to make friends and you never get bored....

Great place to stay, good location, clean, and with a very friendly and helpful staff. THey helped me book tours to Sapa and Halong Bay, and there was free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

For our first night in Hanoi, we booked their only private room ($21/night). We were very happy with the ac room that had two double beds, a flatscreen tv, a clean bathroom and hot showers. The room rent is inclusive of a complimentary breakfast, served at their modest rooftop restaurant. The hostel is conveniently located in the Old Quarter on...

I've enjoyed my one-night stay in the female dormitory room at Hanoi Hostel. The rooftopbar is a perfect place to enjoy your free breakfast, in the evening there's free beer as well! Everything was nice and clean. Not the most amazing atmosphere but very relaxed and easygoing. The staff were very friendly and helpfull!

This hostel has really great staff, always more than happy to help you find Bun Cha or the best Pho around. Their cleaning lady comes every day, and they prepare you a breakfast as well. The other travelers here are GREAT. It is not a party hostel, but a friendly one. I would recommend staying here if you're like me:...

Hot shower, friendly staff, fruit eggs and toast for breakfast! Owned by a single woman - With 3 staff. She organized a driver to pick me up at the airport for 16usd charge. She left me her number in case there was an issue. The drivers are all pretty shady trying to overcharge and take advantage of tourists. She made...

Hanoi Hostel is a gem in the old quarter. You can't ask for a better staff - I had had trouble with a previous hostel and they went out of their way to help me. The rooms are ideal, and free breakfast and happy hour make it easy to meet fellow backpackers there. They partner with the best tour agencies...

This is a good place to stay if you're looking for somewhere chill and low key. Not that great for meeting people. It's also really good if you're looking to book tours. They're super convenient and don't rip you off too badly. It's in a quiet part of the old quarter, about a ten minute walk from the beer corner....

Good rooms, hot showers, good atmosphere - not much more you can ask for. They have breakfast upstairs available for $1. The staff are helpful and one of them even called his friend to take me to My Dinh bus station (a good ways away) at 6 am at a good price.
