This hotel was located within 15 minutes walk to Hoan Kiem Lake/old quarter so very convenient and gives you an opportunity to see the sights and sounds along the way. Avoid taking taxis into the city heart as you will get ripped off! Hotel was very clean and staff always had a smile on their face (they spoke good english)....

The drive from the airport was long (welcome back to SE Asia) but insightful. This hotel is perfectly positioned near all the major attractions of busy Hanoi. Our room, whilst over-looking the main street, was quiet due to the double glazing, and very well appointed. The staff speak great English and are very forthcoming with their recommendations and assistance. They...

I have 4 days to stay at Mercure Hanoi. The room is not too big but clean, nice and full full equipment. The hotel staff was so friendly and good English. Location is quiet far from the old qater, maybe 1miles and 20 mins by walk.

Can't believe that instead of again choosing one of the smaller independent 'boutique' hotels in Hanoi, I got sacked into booking an international chain hotel. The difference in service is like day and night. We stayed in La Siesta Boutique Hotel and Spa a few days before where if anything, they've exaggerated with the service and their strong desire to...

The service staff in the hotel is extremely friendly and made us felt so at home throughout the four days we spent there! Hotel room was very clean and cosy. This is a great hotel for consideration if you are not looking to stay near the Old Quarters as it is a approx 2km distance away.

This hotel is within half a kilometer from the Old Town of Hanoi where you can find lots of shops and restaurants. Walking there though can be challenging because of the conditions of the pavement and the way people in Hanoi drive. Each successful crossing of a street is a big relief! Around the hotel, there are many restaurants that...

For some reason, I booked a SQ flight to Hanoi during a promotion @ only $268nett per pax but I picked SilkAir to come back due to better flight timings. It was my first trip to Vietnam and I was excited about it. Thankfully, I found Mercure and it was time again to clock more points into my Accor Silver....

I've read the other reviews before booking and for me it was a little far from the action. It is a good twenty minute walk to the old quarter and I would have preferred to stay somewhere closer. The room is tired which is okay and I don't have a problem with the stains in the hallway carpets. The staff...

We stayed here one night and had limited expectations, really only needing a bed for the night before leaving early for Halong Bay. The room was small, but clean and everything worked well. Staff were efficient and the breakfast was good. Not a destination hotel by any means but a good reliable option, handy for the railway station.
