The best quality of this hotel is the location. It is in the Old Quarter and near all the travel agencies, restaurants and the places where the private buses arrive. We payed US$ 20 for a double room with bathroom and breakfast. Pros: refrigerator, working AC, super hot water in bathroom, bathtube but no curtains, they provide soap, shampoo, comb, towels,...

I've now stayed here twice. Great staff who look after all your needs is the start, then you realise you're in the middle of the old quarter, super convenient to all the locations, restaurants and bars. Great value, will stay here every time I come back to Hanoi.

Hanoi Silver Hotel is a budget hotel situated in the Old Quarters. The place may appear rundown as it is really old ( which is why it is in the Old Quarters of Hanoi). I like staying in this hotel because of the following: (1) there is an HSBC ATM machine just outside its door. Very convenient when you need...

In November 2012, my friend and I checked into Hanoi Silver Hotel for a one-night stay. On Expedia.ca, we paid for a superior, non-smoking room with two twin beds. Our mattress sheets, bed sheets, pillow cases and blanket were completely white with no marks whatsoever. The next morning both our mattress sheets, bed sheets, pillow cases were covered with streaks...

I stayed in this hotel in 2009 so didn't hesitate to stay here again in last month. Things have changed! We booked an airport pickup, which didn't arrive and ended up paying double the price quoted by the hotel to a taxi driver. As was the common theme in Vietnam, if you book tours through the hotel/spend money in their...

The hotel is nicely situated in the center of the old Hanoi, our room was clean, but far from what you can see on the pictures. It did not have a proper window (and it was the same for other people in our group). May be there are nicer superior rooms, better try to see the room before check-in. Breakfast...

The hotel was totally different than it was online-with small dark rooms, poor beds and basically a dump. However, the price was only 20 dollars and it included breakfast. A bunch of kids run it, who are good at speaking english, but the man in charge pressures you to buy trips (do not buy a trip to halong bay for...

I was directed to this hotel as a substitute , fortunately only for one night - air conditioning didn't work and staff tried to convince me that this is normal and it should work after 20 minutes (?!). Room had poorly equipment and for me wasn't clean enough. the bathroom was in a bad state - dirty, with mold and...

I was greeted very nicely upon arrival and check-in was quick. My room was all I could ask for at this price. However, there was some construction going on right outside my door in the hallway. Noisy. Even without the construction, the room located on the ground floor, things got noisy until quite late and from early morning. Not so...
