The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for people that are first timers to vietnam, because it not only offers great value for very cheap rooms, but also the staff helps you with what you may need. They booked all of our trains and buses around vietnam, helped me getting a sim card for my...

When my friends and I arrived at this hotel we were worried - the outside looks old and the hotel itself didn't feel overly welcoming. Luckily for us, we couldn't have been more wrong. The staff here are wonderful and always made us feel right at home. I especially loved the breakfast and the cups of tea made for us...

This hotel lives up to its name. From the moment we entered this Hotel (4 am in the morning), until we left, we loved it. Staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming and the hotel itself is both elegant and warm and cosy, particularly the breakfast area. Our bedroom and bathroom were immaculate, furniture was tasteful and the balcony view...

we are a family of 5, with 3 children aged 5,8 and 10. We booked the family room which is absolutely huge, and has s great colonial feel. It's a room with high ceilings and a great atmosphere. It was perfect for us - a massive king bed and 2 king singles as well as a sitting lounge area. It's...

Overall this place is a bargain at the $18/night price I paid for a double. I would certainly stay here again, and I can recommend it for larger groups/families. I don’t know what the negative reviewers are talking about, the place is not 'tired'. Maybe they are used to staying in 3-star hotels with perfect services, but I’ve been staying...

This hotel was our first hotel in Vietnam when we arrived in Hanoi. The staff were really friendly and helpful. When we first got there we had a double room but they upgraded us to a family room which was massive. It is quite noisy as its on one of the main roads but this does give it great location....

My reactions are based on my personal preferences, irrespective of the official stars of a hotel, taking into account the context of what is reasonable to expect, given price and location, for example. The Hanoi Old Quarter Hotel was an incredible experience for us in large part because of the wonderful and delightful staff, and we would go back there...

The hotel is in a great location in Old Quarter, near the French Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. Steven and Cloud are very good at their jobs. Both were always available to help book excursions and answer our questions. Each morning we had a decent breakfast however the selection was quite limited. The room we had was quite large, we...

The Old Quarter Hotel is ideally situated for easy access to all the attractions in the area and Hoam Kiem lake. The rooms are large with all the required amenities. They are clean and well serviced.
