What a little oasis in Chiang Mai with the most wonderful staff. The rooms were spacious, bottled water was delicious and we were lucky enough to book one of the staff to babysit our 10 month old one evening. It’s location is killer, within a stones throw of two cocktail bars, a craft beer hang, 7-11, multiple street food vendors, hawker stalls and walkable distance to the night markets and Jazz at north gate. The breakfast was by far our favourite in all our Thai stays, simple and delicious and varied every day, didn’t seem to be too crazy overboard like some other hotels that I bet have so much waste leftover. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in Chiang Mai for a week! And the shower might be the best shower I’ve had all year.
Warm welcome, beautiful, large room almost a suite, comfortable bed. Bathroom very large with great shower. Breakfast was tasty with an eggs cooked to your liking. The pool was refreshing and the gardens added a lovely tropical feel. We booked our Kerchor Elephant experience through the concierge, she was very helpful and approachable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, quite sad too say goodbye.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Pingviman. The hotel is absolutely beautiful with lots of woodcarving designs and a traditional Thai feel. The room was HUGE and beautiful and the bed was really comfortable which was nice. We enjoyed the pool after a hot day touring around Chiangmai. The area is fantastic, close to all the sights and markets in the old city, with great local restaurants, some really fun cocktail bars just across the street (Nophaburi Bar), and a fabulous Celadon gallery (Mengrai Kilns) just around the corner. We would definitely recommend staying at Pingviman.
I recently stayed at the Pingviman in June 2022. The hotel overall is great. The hotel is well located; it falls inside the 'square' of Chiang Mai and is just on the bottom left of the map, Most things (temples, restaurants, street markets) are accessible by walking and are not too far. We opted for the 'luxury king bed with spa bath and private balcony' as the rooms are quite affordable. The room itself did not disappoint! The room is very spacious, the furniture has a traditional feel and the bathroom is absolutely huge it felt like a suite. The only disappointing bit was we were on the ground floor right next to the pool so we did not feel like we had a private balcony despite the room name because everyone walked past it. The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing with lots of beds and a jacuzzi section in one corner. The only real negative about the hotel is the breakfast selection. To some it may seem like there is plenty of options (some Thai food, eggs, bread etc) but the quality of the food could be improved.…
Pros: + Big rooms with jacuzzi + Location (in the inner district) Cons: - Breakfast (variety is bad and waffles ran out and they didn’t bother after asking to make new ones) - lot of Mosquitos in the breakfast area - you can clearly hear the TV from the next room
Our stay at the Pingviman was perfect. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The pool was a great additional feature where we would round off a day after enjoying the sights of Chiang Mai. Breakfast was also good. It is well located for local restaurants and the night market. I could not fault the hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
The rooms were spacious and very nice decorated as well as the bathroom. The Pool area is very nice decorated as well. The value for money was super great and the location was good too. The breakfast was really poor, we had some toast with jelly. No egs, some Thai hot food and a little fruit
Amazing hotel in the heart of Chiangmai mai old town. The rooms are amazing and overlook the pool. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend! Breakfast was great, lots of choice and all good quality.
Amazing location, in the old town. The hotel is near lots of temples and the night market. The rooms were spacious and clean and the balconies look over the pool. The pool was clean, warm and a good size. There were plenty of options for breakfast including, eggs, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. The staff were really friendly and helpful! Would definitely come back to this hotel again.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Chaing Mai. Amazing staff and welcome Rooms were very unusual with a huge jacuzzi bath and balcony overlooking the pool. Pool area is gorgeous although it’s very shaded.
