We found this hotel full of character and really convenient for the night market. The service was great and we particularly liked the friendly atmosphere at the pool and the restaurant. The rooms are full of character albeit relatively basic - not luxury but good value. We would stay there again. Some tips would be to ask for a room... More

About a 50 meter walk from the main street, is this Boutique hotel situated. Built in local style, and you do not feel like you are in the center of Chiang Mai. Fantastic. A nice pool, with great breakfast. Eggs and bacon are fired freshly for you. You can easily walk to local restaurants due to its great location, the... More

Coming to the hotel at the evening of the 11th of augost after a very long flight, only wanted to rest for a while. Reception staff quickly checked me in with every piece of information needed to know, took my bags to a very nice and relaxing room and checked me in already at the room after showing me where's... Hotel is down a lane so is relatively quiet, however the sounds from pool penetrate into the rooms. My room was a suite which is very large and is in the old style. I would expect more for the money asked. I asked if they could call for a taxi to airport, they wanted 350 bht for this, walked outside... More

This hotel is lovely, the staff are warm and accommodating and the location is great. I stayed for five days finding it a great starting point to explore the old city, being only a short walk from the moat. It's quiet location off the main roads makes it a great place for those who do not wish to be disturbed.

We stayed for 5 days while in Chiang Mai. Loved the tropical feel of Banthai Village. It is not a cookie cutter hotel chain. The rooms have high ceilings, wood detail and air conditioning. The staff were very warm and helpful. The location is close to the city square so getting around was easy from this hotel.

This look very tropical hotel to me as the architectural design was based on timber and wood. We stayed on the second floor where we have a nice view of the pool from above. The location is quite nice, quiet but not too far from foods and the old city. It give us a sense of calm and relaxing here.

Hotel is near night market. I love this local architectural style of the hotel! It was really relaxing. The room had large bathroom. In any places in Thailand, you can follow find mosquitos. And sometimes, hotel room does not have any preparations. However, this hotel room had a air bug repellent ( natural herbal smell) typically found in Japanese household!(... More

We very much like this hotels style. The rooms feature high cielings, wood details, white walls, hints of blue decor and a very interesting bathtub. Staff were nice, especially the front desk supervisor (very professional and kind). Two things we hope they change are the juice served with breakfast because I think it's some sort of Fanta pop like orange... More

We had a fantastic visit to Banthai Village guest house. Tucked in a quiet alley within easy walking distance of the Old City you feel like you're stepping into another world when you get inside the main pool and patio area. Leafy and cool, with caring attentive service and beautifully arranged and designed rooms, I'd definitely recommend.
