My double room with balcony was spacious & had a nice view of the mountain. The staff have been exceptionally kind and friendly during my month here. The small hotel has a family atmosphere and the facilities are absolutely adequate for the price; TV, bar fridge, air conditioning, ceiling fan, hot water kettle etc. The beds are firm and that's healthy ... The small pool is just that, but you wouldn't expect it any larger in such a central position. Walking distance from cafes, restaurants, bars etc. It's nice to have the option of short-term stay at a daily price, or a much reduced price for a month - however, on the monthly rate, the electricity and water are calculated according to usage, so you need to take this into account when booking.

My friend and I are models and we escaped Europe and fled from the COVID 19 carnage. We have been to Chiang Mai before (modelling) and loved it, the north of Thailand was fairly untouched by COVID and due to being 40 degrees each day we had decided that it had to be the destination. We booked this hotel with a swimming pool and aircon which would help keep our skin soft. We have been here for 2 months now and the staff could not have been more helpful for us, they have protected us from crazy fans and paparazzi with their lives. Unsure on the future here most hotels closed but Mandala remained open for us and some others. So it wasnt purely because we are both models, they did it out the goodness of their hearts. The pool is also very secluded which is great because we are models and need our privacy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to all our modelling friends. MANDALA LOVING

Stayed here several times in the past 3 years. Its my go to hotel in chiang mai. Its walking distance to the main tourist areas but the prices are way less than the other hotels in this area. Go for a triple deluxe rooms. No frills hotel with super nice rooms good breakfast, late checkin and out if needed. Location is best.

I spent a night at the Mandala House after doing the Mae Hong Son Loop. After an exhausting 5 days on motorcycles I found the Mandala House to be a refreshing stay. The room was clean and spacious, awesome tub in the Deluxe Room. Location was indeed quiet but walking distance to where the action was...

Situated in a quiet neighbourhood. Walking distance to a lot of attractions and night market. First impression of the room was bad... Air-con in the room is not cold and water heater cannot be switched off + an invasion of mozzies. Staff offered us a room change and all goes well from there except the mozzies. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again on my next Chiang Mai trip.

Good location as the hotel is near to the night market and other tourist attractions. They provided us suite room although we just booked 2 triple rooms. Rooms were very spacious with a small kitchen attached. Bathroom came with bath tub. The rooms were a bit rundown, else everything was ok. Outdoor pool is small but it was opposite the road. Visitors do not need to worry for food as eating is very convenient. Customer service was very much depending on the people in-charge. There was 1 lady who was helpful and nice. The other lady was not so friendly and no smile at all when we talked to her. Overalls, very worth for the money paid to stay in this hotel.

I had booked for a month (special fare by the month) and unfortunately only enjoyed 15 days at Mandala House because of a car accident... The staff had been afraid I wouldn't show up anymore because they asked me to pay 2 (as warranty) the month's fare :-) . Nevertheless they've always been very kind and very helpful. The pool is very nice by hot weather though personnally I feel there was a bit too much chlorine or whatever products they put. The situation is great; in walking distance from most of the tourist attractions...and in a calm neighbourhood... To make it short I would recommend the place...

I stayed here with a group on two different times while away and second time moved hotel as they are the hardest beds I have ever had in any trip to Asia! Be aware that rooms are not always as pictures show. Staff are not overly friendly or helpful and at times it feels that you are a nusance to them. In all my years of travelling I had my worst treatment by on male staff member at this hotel and with no apology from either management or staff member. Yes delux rooms are big but that is about all....no comfort!

Pool so dirty the water was green. Pid for breakfast though booking. Had to argue after showing them the booking Breakfast everything was cold. Asked for fresh eggs to be cooked and they just microwaved the old eggs. Bedroom 1. Had a leaking heat pump and bathroom door that didnt close. Which we had to move due to the mold smell and no aircon due to leaking Bedroom 2. Good room no issues besides the mattress being so old you could feel dents from where people have sat. Just dirty all round. Expensive for what you get
