Arrived in Chiang Mai after travelling 15 hours on the train from Bangkok, without even booking anywhere to stay. Turned up at the hotel to find friendly staff, who showed us to our room immedietly and said we could sort paperwork etc out after settling in and have a nap as we had a long journey to Chiang Mai -...

A bit out of the old city, but not too far to walk or take a 5 min tuk-tuk into town. Roger, the owner, was a legend, makig our stay very straightforward. A friendly Swiss ex-pat, he even booked out train tickets to Bangkok and only charged a 50B fee. The room was comfy, with private bathroom facilities and air-con....

Parami seems to be well known throughout chaing mai so getting lost wandering the streets shouldn't be too much of an issue, there'll be someone who can always direct you back. The place itself is very relaxing, and has a very welcoming and homey feel about it. There are stepping stones over a fish pond and friendly cats lazing about....

A quiet place; clean room & bathrooms. Please note that the private shower room and toilet are NOT inside the room; but they are just outside and only for your use. There's free internet. However, the guesthouse is outside the city walls and on the other side of the river. Its at least a 30-min walk to the moat/old city...

I stayed there for a couple of nights in July. The guesthouse is far away from the centre, there are no shops or anything pleasant around, it is located on a very noisy road. Sleeping is difficult if not impossible. The bathroom had no door, no curtain and no proper glass window just a mosquito screen. I was unaware of...

We are quit wondering how he / she could stay a couple of days at our Guesthouse and booked a tour with us as well if every thing was so bad. Just to relativize this review, every body can inspect the room first before they move into it. If our room doesn’t suit there needs they don’t have to spend...

Located right next to a mechanic repair shop so loud sounds of machines from early morning until evening. It is horrible and sounds like constant construction! Dirty rooms that are not nearly as clean as they appear in pictures. Horrible location with few shops close-by. Avoid this place and pay the same to stay across the river in a much...

The best place to stay in Chiang Mai, mostly because of the staff. There are extremely helpful and kind. Also, the rooms are really pretty. For the location, the are a lot of restaurant no more than 5 minutes by walk. Everywhere we went in the city was walking distance from the guesthouse.

We've considered staying here for a little while (appr. 10 days) just because of the good reviews at tripadvisor and for the nice looking house and garden on the webpage. When we got there after a 13 hrs drive from Bangkok we found the gate closed for it was too early in the morning and although we booked in advance...
