Great little hotel right in the heart of Chiang Mai, across the street from Wat Chedi Luang. The Sunday wWalking Street Market is right here (and the Saturday Walking Market is just south a bit outside of the city walls within walking distance).
My husband and I were skeptical about whether this b&b would live up to the reviews considering the price we were paying. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was enjoyable (as were the staff). The...More
This hotel was such a nice surprise! We booked online without knowing much except the price fit our budget. When we arrived, we were greeted by the most friendly staff (ask for "Z" up front- he's extremely helpful), and a beautiful lobby. The rooms were...More
The 3 Sis is a simple yet charming b&b located in the heart of Chiang Mai. The b&b was clean, quiet, and simple with minimal furnishings, but suffices for a pleasant stay. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you....More
This hotel is an excellent find in the heart of Chiang Mai's Old City.
The hotel staff were among the friendliest and accommodating I have encountered. They are very welcoming and keen to offer advice on local activities. They booked our cooking school and elephant...More

I do not think that 3 Sis is that convenient for a family. We were on the three floor and the showers were simply not functioning well. They moved us to the second floor and those showers on the new floors, hot and cold were not consistent and it took so much time to get the right temperature. The breakfast
Is really poor, no exaggeration--not good for a family.
Wifi was also a huge problem.
If you read the negative reviews, you will get a better idea. I read them recently and things have not changed much over the years.
We found Uber helpful to take us from one place to another cause the weather was quite hot for our kids. With Uber where we stayed was not such a big deal, but good breakfast and good showers were important. In our travels, we found it most convenient to get data on one of our phones at the airport which came as a crucial part of our convenience.
Thailand was the last stop of 5 countries. It is more expensive here than we thought, not only hotels but food as well.
Best wishes on your travels. I would be happy to answer any question/s you may have.
Oh, hope you are here on a Sunday for the evening street market, otherwise we enjoyed our stay with our out of town trips.
On another note, if you cannot find a better place than 3 sis, and your child has their own food, and you go and buy breakfast food the day before and wifi is not a problem and you don't mind waiting 5 minutes before your shower gets to the right temperature, it can work for you for it has it own charm and the hotel has a lobby where your child can play a bit.
