This was a wonderful experience for my husband and myself! The hotel was clean and comfortable; it is located within walking distance to most of the walled inner city of Chiang Mai. It had a beautiful pool and friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent and they also boasted a real, genuine, coffee maker! American tourists take note! LOL! Would 10/10 stay here again

Everything more than perfect: location, modern, stylish and well maintained rooms, great breakfast with a lot if choices and good coffee. But the best thing is the staff. Can't praise them enough: always nice, friendly and smiling. They do everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Not to forget the extremely nice owner, who appears sometimes to have a chat with the guests. Will come again for sure!

Super clean modern hotel central to the attractions of Nimman. The delightful staff and caring management excel to care for the guests with charming grace. The included water, ice cream tubs and noodle snacks, + the varied breakfast buffet, blazing fast wifi, and smart crisp rooms make for an enjoyable stay. The good size pool is an welcome addition after a days trekking around the region. Recommended!

Dear Bob, very much appreciate that you shared your experiences with fellow travelers. Especially because you enjoyed staying with us! Nice you mention Fu and the gang. They are part of an amazing group of young, independent individuals who collectively look after BED with great passion. Couldn’t be more proud to work with them. Also happy your positive experience started already during the booking as we realize our hospitality starts long before you arrive in BED. On behalf of Fu and the gang, and the rest of the team, many thanks and warm regards! Jeroen

They instantly got me hooked the moment I knew that they offer 24-hour complimentary snacks and free mini bar. In addition to in-room bottled water, guests can conveniently grab extra bottles from glass-door fridges that are placed on every floor and in the lobby area. A seemingly trivial stuff but also a nice touch that sets them apart from others. Staff is very helpful and engaging. Room interior is cleverly designed with minimalist vibe in which you won’t feel cramped. The separation of the basin from the shower and toilet area also allows a more convenient use of the area when two people are in a rush. Last but not least, in addition to standard ABF, they also offer local dishes and Thai traditional desserts which are quite hard to come by these days. And they are really good.

Wow, the title is a real compliment! It’s nice you describe the hotel in such great detail as it helps other travelers to understand more about BED. Water is indeed a big thing for us and readily available in big fridges on every floor. It seems trivial but it’s an important part of our hospitality: to truly underhand what matters and to provide that. The origin of BED water is actually rooted in authentic Thai traditions that you can still experience when you travel upcountry. There you often see these clay water bowls in front of houses, no matter how small, filled with water for anyone to freely use. We just continue this beautiful Thai tradition in a modern design Also happy you like the minimalist design. Our design goal was sustainability and to eliminate waste. You don’t see any typical decoration in BED like carpets and paintings and flowers. Instead we waited ti create mood and atmosphere by the architectural design itself. Very happy you like what we are doing and you inspire us to continue! Hope to see you again, warm regards on behalf of all of us. Jeroen

Best hotel in Chiang Mai! The Hotel lies in a nice neighborhood very close to the old city. They provide complimentary bicycles which is a great way to explore the city. Breakfast is delicious and the staff is truly involved, had a nice chat with the owner Jeroen as well. Hotel was fully booked during my stay so book in advance. Will definitely return, cheers!

Hi Bas, I’m really happy you describe BED as Best Value for Money. We feel that we shouldn’t maximize profits and that our room rates should be reasonable and a fair compensation for the facilities and hospitality we provide. It should be enough to pay banks and most importantly, to pay the best possible salaries to our people. So we charge what we should, not what we can. I understand the concept of dynamic pricing, where rates change when demand changes. But I’m happy prices in BED are the same on weekdays and weekdays, on Christmas, New Year, Songkran or any other holidays. Room is still the same on those days, no? Anyway, I respect different views but this works for us. Happy you picked up on it! See you again in BED? Safe travels, Jeroen

Excellent stay. Welcomed from the start. In fact all the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The room had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable, with a balcony. Coffee and cold water were available all day. The breakfast was lovely- varied including fresh bread. And a lovely pool surrounded by trees.

Dear Merrynpo, just what you needed, right? We are really happy you perceive BED this way. Since we built the first BED in 2014 our aim was to understand what really matters and to eliminate everything else with no value or meaning. We wanted to go back to the essence of hospitality, which is not expressed by decoration and luxury but by genuine care. It is defined by people and we couldn’t be more proud of the unique young individuals that look after our guests. I’m very happy you were part of BED if only for a few days! Hope to see you again soon, Jeroen

Bed Nimman just perked us up on arrival. The tasteful minimalistic functional layout, the warmness of the team, grass bottles of drinking water and hot beverages at the lobby, fruits, cookies and the popular mini cup instant Thai cup noodles in the evening just nice to satisfy that bid of craving. We stayed in Bed Nimman for 5 days, The entire stay was enjoyable, the staffs were amazing, attentive, helpful, and friendly . Though they may be busy with much to do work, they are always have time for their guests. The Thai international buffet spread at breakfast has enough appealing varieties, well sufficient for a hearty meal to start the day. 10 minutes away from airport, plenty of cafes, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Free bikes are available if you are tired of walking. This is the hotel i would recommend, the people makes the different when you are away from home. Bed Nimman is a home away from home.

Dear Hargovind, to describe your stay as "an incredible experience" is obviously a huge compliment. It shows that we reach out to our guests on an emotional level, and that BED is possibly more than just a hotel. It's true, we never set out to make this a business but rather a place where amazing people would come together, team members and guests alike. Our ultimate goal is to achieve true hospitality, and to create a genuine and meaningful experience. We always share every review with every team member in BED. Today you make us all smile. Thank you very much for staying with us and for sharing your experiences with fellow travellers. Jeroen

BED Nimman got it right. Very customer focused. Rooms very well thought out. Fantastic breakfast. But what sets it apart is the service. Much higher level than you would expect given the reasonable price point. Pool area also very well done.

Dear BMI, thanks so much for your feedback. You mentioned that BED is “very customer focused”. I think one of the reasons is that we truly don't have any form of management and supervision. We don't have rules and regulations. And we surely don't train people. All of the above just puts people in a box, in our opinion. We believe we should go the opposite way and let people be happy and be themselves. Ultimate hospitality is perhaps less complicated than people like to think. All you need is lots of passion and common sense. We feel this is what makes hospitality genuine, and build a team of people who are in BED because they want to. I'm also so happy with your comments on breakfast. It's perhaps smaller than other hotels but we aim to focus on the quality, the taste, the texture and the visual of each individual dish. I'm so happy you liked it. Thanks for being part of BED and looking forward to seeing you again! Jeroen
