Clean and spacious room, good mattress and four poster bed. Lovely garden, beautiful old house and nice people. Central location very convenient. If you want to stay in the city, this is the best place to be.

After reading all the positive remarks we had very high expectations. After staying there 4 nights we would still recommend the place but mainly because of the setting (away from the hustle and bustle of down town Chiang Mai) and because of the nice owner and his staff. Rooms were ok, not outstanding for the price. Breakfast in form of...

We stayed at Baan Orapin in 2009, so knew what we were expecting, and it certainly didn't let us down. We stayed at the back of the property in one of their larger suites on our second visit which was beautiful, the beds are all four poster king size beds with mosquito netting and ours was really comfortable. The breakfast...

We learned early on that it is so worth spending a bit of extra money on accomodations as you don't need it for daily spending. This place was beautiful, quiet and in a great location. Great restaurants are just a stones throw away on the river. The city and markets are a 10 minute walk across the bridge and if...

A lovely guest house with so much character. Gardens and pool are so relaxing and the staff are awesome. Even a white rabbit roaming in the gardens. A great place for us to chill out after a crazy time in Phuket! Only down side is that the maun part of town is some walk away and tuks tuks are not...

We liked the location it was on the quiet side of the river. But the footbridge to get across was only just over the road. The complex is very quiet and we loved our room a one bedroom suite. Pepsi greeted us when he arrived and was always on hand to ask questions. At breakfast on our second morning we...

This is a gorgeous place to stay. small and intimate, with the most fantastic and friendly service. The rooms and bathrooms are gorgeous and very comfortable. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off after a morning in the sun. The staff were very polite and helpful, offering advice - always with a big smile on their face -...

Chiang Mai is a little bit more laid back than other parts of thailand, but even so, it has a busy commercial hub. Baan Orapin is across the river from this and in a peacful location with gorgeous gardens and lovely self-contained villas. There is a reason that this place is so highly rated on Trip Advisor - quality. Quality...
