Amazing! Stayed at the Baan Orapin to celebrate a friends 60th birthday for 5 nights. When we arrived, Opas (the owner) gave us a quick orientation of the property and Chiang Mai complete with area maps and instructions. Our group of 6 stayed in 3 rooms in the back building. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished, and spotless. Each room...

What more can be said about this peaceful Chiang Mai retreat that has not been said before! Nothing...so I will be brief! My husband and I spent ten nights here in mid January and loved it. We had previously been staying at the other side of the city, but found Baan Orapin's location especially ideal for visiting the vast array...

My husband and I have just returned from 2 weeks in Thailand, 3 nights, BKK, 3 nights CM and 7 nights in Phuket. I wanted to book different styles of accommodation throughout our stay that I thought would work well with the environment we were going to be in. Because CM is more laid back and "artsy" than the other...

We stayed at this fantastic place in Chiang Mai back to May 2009. The B&B is in a perfect location that near the river. You can walk to the market, the centre of town, and the resturants within minutes. The garden and the room are full of thai ambience. Our cottage is spotless and the bed is very comfortable. The staff...

I stayed in the best room at Baan Orapin, and it was spectacular. There are around 5 houses there, all perfectly renovated and decorated in impeccable taste...filled with antiques and in mine, a 4 poster colonial bed. Everything about the place was luxurious. The service was wonderful too. Opas is friendly and informed, and has wonderful staff, that is always...

We stayed at Baan Orapin for two nights prior to trekking, and two nights afterwards. Mr Opas and his staff (including the very friendly Pepsi) made sure that we were fully looked after and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived - nothing was too much and they helped with any questions we had. They offered us a...

I selected Baan Orapin because its owner manager has lived in the US so he could provide good perspective on Thailand, understanding the American point of view. Opas was a great source to me. He recently converted and expanded his 1914 family mansion to a luxory hotel of several two story buildings in the midst of one acre of tropical...

This is a boutique hotel of the highest order. They will pick you up at the station or by however you arrive. A very handy service for your new destination. This place is certainly a 'must stay' when visiting Chiang Mai. The accommodation, which is situated in the grounds of the 100 year old Chinese main house (built by the...
