Tranquil oasis during our time in Chiang Mai (I was on a small group adventure tour). Such a lovely and oldy worldy colonial style hotel. So much better than the guesthouses you usually stay in on adventure tours, but not a concrete 'modern facilities' hotel (some may prefer this type of hotel, I certainly don't). There is a really good...

We really enjoyed our three day stay in this hotel. The receptionist could not have been more helpful. The room was charming, full of colonial style furniture and the garden beautifully tranquil which was welcome after the warmth of Chiang Mai town.

The location is ok 10 min walk to the old city. The hotel is quite old but has its charms. If you are afraid at night this should not be the place to stay as its dark. We never took the breakfast even though it was already paid for because it just didn't look appetizing. Rooms are spacious and mattras...

We had two extra days in Chiang Mai and hotel we stayed in previously was booked out. We stayed here in April 2015 and it was very very quiet. This place is near a main road but we were located at the rear in tropical gardens with a small swimming pool. You could feel however that you were miles from...

I loved this place, the front desk staff were helpful and funny. It's a pretty quiet district, but only a 3 minute walk from the old city and all the excitement. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. At breakfast they have a bottomless supply of real drip coffee (Westerners rejoice!) I was definitely pleasantly surprised by how nice the rooms...

This charming, small hotel is a little gem just south of the "moat". The rooms are comfortable if a bit dark. The grounds are pretty, with a nice pool and cozy seating areas. The wifi was a bit sketchy in our second floor room, but otherwise the place is perfect. The friendly staff is very helpful in booking tours. Stay...

Came here with a small group on a Telltale Travel cooking holiday and found it to be a quiet place with a small restaurant serving the general public as well as residents. My room had a four poster bed with curtains and mosquito netting as well as a side room with computer, table and safe. Because of the style of...

Great experience to stay in this very authentic colonial house - very much love to the detail and very friendly stuff create a good atmosphere. The architects who redecorated this place put very much effort in displaying the rooms as they where some decades ago.

The good features are the cool, heritage setting in the heat of the day and proximity to the buzz of the Saturday night market. Also, the breakfast boiled eggs were perfect! It is also quite close to Wat Sisuphan so you can see the effect of changing sunlight on the silver as you walk past at different times of day....

“Go for the rooms with a double bed, they are gorgeous.”

“poolside rooms are convenient but doors must be kept closed at all times because the mozzies are around in swarms near the pool.”
DonieoLeary, 28 Jul 2015 | Read review
“Be aware that the rooms in the rear part are painted red and therefore are a bit dark - this is a part of the authentic concept. The front rooms are around a nice courtyard with doors to the pool. I personally think the upstairs rooms are the nicest.”
TiedoS, 17 Feb 2015 | Read review
“Room 304 was a big room and bath room with 4 poster bed and mosquito net”
walter2000uk, 26 Oct 2014 | Read review
“If picking a guest house in Chiang Mai, pick something within walking distance to night market or centre of town as Chiang Mai is very pedestrian friendly. If choosing a room at this hotel, opt for the double, pool facing rooms on the second floor (I think they might be the best ones)”
