We've been coming here for years and love the peacefulness and friendly staff. It's walking distance to cross the river to get to some of the restaurants on the river and it's far enough away to have some peace and quiet. It's also close to some restaurants and bars with live music and shows. The rooms are very clean, the...

My husband &I I have stayed hear a few times. Ban Kaew is five minutes from the night bazaar but is tucked away & peaceful & feels like you are in Thailand, unlike some of the big hotels. The rooms are basic with en suite, but really quite comfortable & very clean. The staff are lovely & extra helpful. I...

This place was friendly and, while bare-bones, we had a wonderful experience. The air-conditioner, was in name only, as it never even cooled the room, but that is the only complaint possible. Super nice friendly folks!

We have stayed here for many years. Mostly we stay a month as do many repeat guests. The staff and grounds make it home to us. The rooms are very basic but clean and have inroom safe, fridge, air and lovely balcony for reading. L Opera French restaurant and bakery are right around the corner and our market for soup is...

I've been staying at the Baan Kaew Guesthouse for the past five years. The location is fantastic, walking distance to the morning market, night bazaar, Pantip Plaza and many wonderful food vendors and restaurants. There are 5 star spas and massage places close by. The guesthouse offers AC, wifi, laundry service and a refrigerator in the room. The staff are...

Songkran, 2016. We stayed at the B2 the first night and it was way overpriced and too busy....we moved to this Guest House and even though others had said it was out of the way....it was perfect. Food cooked excellently right on site...all drinks available....low cost food and drinks, great service. Even laundry. Wet laundry. LOL There is a Wat...

The hotel is situated in an excellent location - night markets, restaurants, small shopping malls, museum - all are within walking distances ; If you do not like walking, there are always tuk-tuk! The room is basic but clean. Even though the hotel was a bit worn down but it was value for money for what we paid for. The...

I've stayed twice here--last year for 10 days and this year for a week and will continue to return. The rooms are very basic, but clean. What's great about this place is that it is out of the busiest part of town in a quiet garden setting, but still close--five minutes from the Night Market--and right across from Wat Chaimongkol....

This is a clean, friendly and quiet place. It's outside the old city but that's OK. It's a short walk to the Night Bazaar, which is very fun to visit, and moving around Chiang Mai is easy and affordable anyway.

A very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Simple accommodation but immaculately clean and very welcoming staff. The guesthouse sits around a nice garden and away from the street, behind another property which buffers it from the street noise. Across the street from the temple and the river, offering easy access to river cruises. The old city and night market are within...
