For those on a tight budget, this would be an ok option. The staff were very nice, the free breakfast buffet good. The rooms are old and dated and have a musty smell. The linen appeared clean but obviously old, frayed and dingy. location seemed ok but tuk-tuks are everywhere and ceap so who cares anyway? The beds in our 2 rooms...

You can see from other reviews that the location allows you to walk to most of the main shopping and restaurant areas. There is very limited parking outside and a construction site next to the hotel. The room was fine and breakfast basic. Hotel looks and feels old so could use a refurbishment.

This hotel is located near the night market. Very convenient indeed. The room is reasonably good. The service is satisfactory. At the ground floor, the tour agent was very helpful and friendly. What else to ask for?

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and again it was busy but always clean and the staff are helpful and friendly, can't comment on the food as it is so close to the main shopping/ eating areas I ate out each day.

The Star is an older hotel but staff do their best to keep the rooms clean - they are clean but dated. Staff are helpful but a little reserved. Breakfast is adequate, not a big variety though. The location makes up for the minor downsides. Night bazar is on your doorstep.

Hotel itself was pretty simple and basic. Definitely could use some upgrading. Keys aren't magnetized cards--they're literally keys. Decided to stay here at the last minute due to some changes in our plans. Had a little trouble checking in but we figured it out eventually. Unfortunately, the wifi wasn't working, which is really important for travelers. They did offer us...

We stayed here for five nights in early July and the staff were so friendly, rooms were the biggest we had whilst travelling Thailand and were clean. Bit of a distance to nightlife but central to shops and the night market which is a must! Would stay here again. Plus room service was so handy, lovely Thai curries!
