We booked this hotel via an agent which was a big mistake,we knew the Lana rooms were small and tried to reserve a deluxe but none were available but Lana, room was just 20 square metres with not enough room even for a chair,no outdoor patio. The entrance was through a pair of narrow glazed French doors fitted with curtains that...

In the middle of the hustle and bustle of Thailand's second largest city and capital of the north, you find this beautiful gem. It is a trully sensational retreat for those seeking to explore Chiang Mai but also willing to relax in a great boutique property. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. The setting could not be better. Everything...

This was such a tonic after our soulless Bangkok hotel - three nights here and we truly didn't want to leave. We were greeted with a delicious ice tea 'on the house' and our stay only got more memorable. We had a deluxe lanna room, overlooking the tamarind tree in the courtyard. A beautiful view, which we got to appreciate...

After having a fantastic experience in their sister hotel in Krabi we wanted to stay here when visiting Chaing mai. The service was excellent. The rooms small but cosy, beautifully decorated in a traditional Thai style surrounding the famous tree which is a sight in itself, lit up at night with lanterns. The pool was too cold to go in...

We stayed for four nights at Tamarind Village Hotel and we were very happy with the lovely service and very kind attention given to ourselves during our stay here. It was an "oasis of calm" in a busy city and it was great to return here away from the traffic to relax. All of the hotel staff worked extremely hard...

Tamarind Village is always the place I would like to visit for years, but, no chance to visit. I was intrigued by the designer of this place and knew some background of this hotel, hence, my review might bias to the architectural design rather than the services. I decide to spend one night here because I did check with the...

Of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip though Southeast Asia, the Tamarind Village was my favorite! Down a tiny alley right off the main street, you would never know you are in the middle of town. It is an oasis within walking distance to everything! The eponymous Tamarind tree is in a beautiful courtyard and is illuminated...

Was booked in here for 4 nights on Jan 24th. Due to flight delay arrived when it was dark. Room was very small and we were advised to use mosquito nets. Bathroom very basic and there was an instruction not to flush toilet paper but to put in the straw basket which was totally unhygienic as you had to lift...

We just stayed at Tamarind Village for two nights last weekend. The hotel itself is very beautiful and tasteful, very Thai style and artistic. The hotel also offers free walking tours and activities everyday, and so it is very good for people who want to experience Chiang Mai in a more cultural sense. The missing star is for small rooms...
