I was shown to a room that sometimes is used for guest room, there very first guest room, It's very odd the room because there was somebody's clothes in one half of the wardrobe with rucksack. . Patio door had no lock on it. I was not allowed to use the bathroom by me (only the toilet at night only).... More

Having been in this guest house business for over 13 years, you think you have seen everything under the sun, but then comes a review like this and I just scratch my head. I would like to review the reviewer! A very few times we have gotten what I call a "grudge review" where the reviewer, for whatever reason, exaggerates,... More

This place is magical! A calming oasis among the hustle and bustle of the Chiang Mai streets. You will be greated by friendly, accommodating staff and the American owner Noland who will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. There are lovely leafy gardens with pets and colorful koy fish line the pathways. I would honestly like... More

I have stayed 1 night here and left the place feel very calm. The place and room decoration are designed to have you feel settled and like home. The room is very clean, have everything we need and "Khun Nut" who is responsible for the guest reception provided us a superb service. I accidentally left my iphone inside the room... More

This is a lovely guest house a little bit far from old city center, is perfect for couples. You can take a cab to go to the center but you can use the bikes available at the hotel, is a great tour, you can go riding a bike to all temples at the center. Dont forget your insect repellent, have... More

Overall Santitham Guest House is a very pleasant experience but not without some reservations. Location: a little far from the main areas of Chiang Mai. The garden is very imaginatively laid out but the large overhanging trees have not been cut back for a very long time so that the plants and shrubs get almost no sun. Better garden maintenence... We (my boyfriend and I) stayed at sanitham guest house for our first couple of nights in Chiang Mai and it was lovely! The staff, particularly the manager, were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The double room had one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept it and was just what we both needed after a busy couple of... More

I keep coming back to this guesthouse as it is always like my second home. The owner and staff are super helpful and friendly. They have done an amazing job on creating a secluded little garden amidst the hustle and bustle of students in the area. They have a nice little work out area and a restaurant next door. Great... Chiang Mai may not be as quaint as it once was, but if you are nestled in gardens and have all the amenities, this brings it back to the feeling of Southeast Asia you were looking for. I had a great week, with kind staff and owner who made me feel comfortable, while assisting me in arranging activities when I... More

Unless you are looking and prepared to pay for 5 star luxury, I would recommend you stay at the Santitham. The owners have worked at making their small site beautiful with lush vegetation, koi fish, objects d'art and a covered deck to read, sleep on the day bed, meditate or, if you are looking for something more active, work out...
