My husband and I spent 5 days, 4 nights in this beautiful boutique hotel, centrally located to everything you would want in Chiang Mai. The staff were lovely and professional all throughout our stay. The grounds are beautifully decorated and you can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. We came earlier than check-in time and were allowed...

De Chai the Colonial is supposedly a new hotel, about a year old. Until told this I thought it an extensive renovation of an old building as the design of the hotel, floors situated around an open middle area, is an old style of hotel you see quite often in asia. The windows for example are a quite cheap single...

We stayed 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon and overall were very impressed with the service. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room had all mod cons. I particularly liked the bathroom area that was well equipped and clean. The front desk tried to be helpful but I feel were slightly hesitant to get things done. They...

We love the hotel as it has Balinese feel especially the lobby with water features & a lot of wood element. The room has 2 poster beds & a modern bathroom. Big room too. Very happy for family of 3 kids to stay here. Walk out from hotel is Ild Town & along the road, you may find very good...

Loved this hotel for easy walk to supermarket, shops & street markets. The food in their restaurant is excellent & very well priced. The staff were helpful & friendly. We had no trouble with the shower, maybe just turn the pressure up a bit. We would stay here again.

The hotel is located just out of town, up a little lane... there were several thing which I remember about this hotel.... (1) all the staff are constantly on their mobile phones texting / facebook or whatever.... the door man... on his phone until he sees you.... reception.... on their phone until they see you. House Keeping, just on their...

Room was big and clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast simple but decent. Helpful staff. Overall a very nice stay. Small problem with the energy in our room but they were very fast to solve it. Wifi was also good and AC also working well. I would come back

We are staying at the chai right now, in two rooms. It's new, clean and has a friendly staff. The only major problem is the hot water in the shower. The hot water keeps on coming and going every 20 seconds, so if you want to take a 2 minutes shower, try to be super patient, otherwise try to locate...

Stayed here for four nights with a few mates in July 2014. The hotel is quite conveniently located with a 7/11, pharmacy, mcdonalds all located within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is also located a 2 minute walk from Patay Rotee (rated the best rotee in chiang mai) http://goslowlyeatwell.com/2013/11/30/quick-bite-paday-rotee-irresistible-sweets-in-chiang-mai/ The hotel is generally quite clean and...

We stayed for 2 weeks and got to know the staff very well. Although most of the staff struggled with English they were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is placed very well with easy walking access to the Sunday night markets and a ten minute walk to the night bazaar. The restaurant was quite nice though the menu is...
