We booked over the Christmas period for 4 nights (booking was made and confirmed 3 months before). The day before our arrival, they sent an email to Booking.com to say that they had to transfer us to another hotel in Chiang Mai. The last 2 nights in the De Chai The Colonial Hotel were very nice (and they tried to...

Initially we booked Rimping Village for our first visit to Chiang Mai, but after doing a bit more research on location we changed to De Chai and am so glad we did. We love to walk....and walk we did. To Tha Pae gate (5 mins) Wararot (15 mins) Night Bazaar (20 mins). The hotel is down a lovely quiet laneway,...

This hotel was in an excellent location, right next to the old town. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. Although there are cheaper hotels in chiang mai, the price is very affordable compared with UK prices. A couple of issues were that our bath did not...

We stayed in a grand deluxe room so this review relates to that level room. For our first few nights at chiang mai we selected this hotel and paid that bit extra because we wanted to be confident we had a quality hotel... De chai didnt dissapoint, it is exactly that, a quality hotel. Spacious room with a great bathroom....

You get free water to drink, the laundry service is VERY reasonable and they helped me find a good tattoo shop. :) The taxi guys know it too, which is helpful!!!...

My GF and I stayed two nights in a Deluxe Room and found the Hotel to be very relaxing. The decor is modern and very clean with lots of space giving a very welcoming feel. Staff were helpful over and above the call of duty. The bed was very comfortable but I feel the air conditioning was a bit noisy...

Nice clean hotel, close to everything we needed, including the walking street market. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Wifi was good, breakfast was enough, it wasn't a lot but enough to get us going in the morning. Would stay again.

We arrived around 9am and the staff kindly let us check in early so we didn't have to wait around (Also provided late check out at no extra cost). We had a Deluxe room which gave us more than enough space. The bed was also extremely comfy. We used the Wifi (which was free of charge) every day and it...

Very nice rooms, spacious high ceilings and well designed. Great to relax in. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we were impressed with their 'can do' attitude about all our requests and enquiries. Great location close to the action but down a quiet little side street. Very enjoyable stay.
