Took a flyer on this hotel since we had never been to Chiang Mai. We took a cab from the airport and we heading in to the city. This hotel,is located outside of the "walled" city area but is about a 6 minute walk away from that area. We were getting a bit concerned as to the location since our...

Spent 2 nights here in Jan'17, first time we picked local hotel so didn't expect anything. But De Chai is LOVELY. Room is clean and spacious with big bathtub, highly active staffs who always smile and willing to help out, also they offer nice breakfast buffet with some made-to-order menus. Location is another advantage, 5 mins walk to Thapae road...

This is a small 40 room boutique hotel hidden away on a small soi (little street) close walking distance to both the walled old city, night market and all. Hotel is contemporary, clean, spacious and cool. The bed is so so comfortable; I'm talking Four Seasons comfortable. Bathroom spacious with rain forest shower. Service is excellent; a call for ice...

We booked 2 deluxe room for 4 people. Hotel itself is rather small and located in narrow soi (road) too. No car parking and the entrance is so small, you need to be careful not to drive pass. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Room is nice, we had problem with water leaking from window but hotel staff fix it...

Everything was great at the DeChai The Colonial Hotel. Great location and staff was amazing. Near the Tha Phae Gate (about 10 minutes walk) but you don't any of the noise. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms are big, clean and modern. Would definitely stay again.

Good location, not far from the Night Bazar (15 min walk). Not far from the Old Town (15 - 20 min walk) Nice, clean, good rate with breakfast included. Good selection between local and western options for breakfast. Nice size room, quiet, quaint. Good service.

De Chai was at a very nice location that was near enough to Tha Pae Gate and old city while also being close to the night markets. The staff and rooms were nice, and the breakfast in the morning was good as well (buffet style!). However, the one problem we had was that one day, we discovered quite a few...
