I had this guesthouse booked by my travel agent. So had no idea what it looked like or what not, I purely trusted him. Time showed I shouldn't have... Very old place to stay. Dirty. The bed mattress super uncomfortable and there's so little fridge or safe. We also experienced luck of water for the whole day and night... Terrible... More

You look at the pictures and it looks fabulous but then in reality you discover that is a bit older than it looks on paper but still very good value for money and centrally located next to east gate. I stayed here 3 nights and it was good, staff and ex-chiang mai model owner were nice and always attentive and... More

We booked at this hotel through a travel agency in Bangkok, which told us we had to buy a whole package to get night train tickets to Chang Mai. The travel agent told us it was 'only' 750 baths and it was included in the package. When we arrived in Chiang Mai, we realized the reality was very different from... More

Booked with train tickets in Bangkok for the stay here. Slightly more expensive than our budget but good for the price. Comfortable beds, clean rooms and aircon all included. The very friendly staff also offered us a discount on the last night. Good location also.

We bought train tickets from Bangkok train stations agency (upstairs). To get a night train with bed, the agency offered this combination. It was 500 baht per night. We looked around the area later and soon found there were a lot of nicer accommodation with the same price. They would be better if they make the hall area a bit... More

Booked in advance as a combination ticket with a train ticket to chiang mai. At first sight it looked clean..but it wasn't. Also it was very expensive though the location is good.but better go round the corner to top garden boutique guesthouse-which is cheaper and much cleaner.

This hotel was fine - at first I thought it was a bit unclean, but visiting other hotels around Chiang Mai, I realised many of the rooms were similar. The thing is, I booked from the airport. Here they charged me 700bht per night and comparatively to what other people were paying in CHaing Mai, this was a lot. Most... More

We stayed here for three nights, with a break in-between due to our cycling tour. Welcome was friendly and not a problem when we upgraded our room to a/c as it was hotter than I thought it'd be when I originally booked. Our room was at the street end of the building, so was pretty noisy all through the night.... More

Despite good furnishings and character touches for its price range, our experience in a third-floor double fan room (500 baht) was disappointing. The room featured an old TV, and a tiny balcony on which it was impossible to stand comfortably due to the (not working) aircon unit. Cons: Overuse of unpleasant sweet-scented disinfectant (?) in room, fan did not oscillate,... More
