I first stayed here May/June 2015 and on visiting Chiang Mai again June 2016 I was eager to return to The Britannia! This is a lovely clean guesthouse that is well run by a lovely couple who are full of information and always happy to help with anything. I have stayed in 2 different rooms and both were extremely comfortable...

Stayed here for a few nights with two friends. We had a room on the top floor (no elevators and lots of steps, which wasn't a problem for us but could be if someone had difficulty climbing stairs). The room was spacious, clean, had a small fridge with new bottles of water daily, a balcony with a drying rack (convenient...

Thank you for staying with us at the Britannia stairs notwithstanding. Our 3 level building like most of this type in Chiang Mai are rarely built with elevators so we are stuck with the stairs unfortunately. Keeps everyone fit around here! We do hope you enjoyed your time in Chiang Mai and would look forward to seeing you back another...

Thank you for your kind review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Top marks for finding the hardest to find rooftop bar in Chiang Mai which is so near but hard to spot.

My room (#19) was super cozy and had a lovely golden glow from the curtains every morning. The owners are lovely and very helpful with suggestions for tours and services. Also, they will do your laundry for a small charge which is wonderfully convenient! Loved having the mini fridge and little table and chairs in my room as well as...

We stayed here for three weeks in February in a front facing room with small balcony. It is run by a Kiwi/Thai couple in a very efficient but friendly way. It is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. They treat their Thai staff like family which is lovely to see. Lovely smelling fresh linen and towels. Lots of eateries around and...

the owner was really helpful and nice, it's located in a very safe and nice street in the old city, full of cafe but it's not noisy. rooms are clean. I had the opportunity to leave my baggages in storage during my excursion of 6 days, paying just a small amount. Expecially recomended for those who are travelling alone and...

Every now and then you find a place that you realised you'd been looking for. They sorted out my booking cock-up; no worries! The room was perfect, clean spacious and even a kettle. Lots of unbiased advice, great friendly service, and a really good location. Prices are great as well. What's not to like? Nothing!

My friend and I stayed at The Britannia during Songkran, and arrived late at night after attempting to notify them of our arrival time with no response via email, and instead had to borrow a neighbors phone to call the number on the door to get them to come unlock it. The owners (a Foreign man and Thai woman) were...
