This is an extremely good deal in Chiang Mai's old city. The rooms are well-appointed, comfortable and above all.........ahhhhh, quiet. I love this place. I love the hospitality and I think you may be hard-pressed to find a sweeter couple in Chiang Mai.

So glad we chose to stay at the Britannia. A good location, spotlessly clean reception area, stands of brochures of tours available -and a warm welcome from the owners -got our stay off to a great start. Our room was larger than we expected, very light, and with a small balcony and screens so we could leave the windows open... More

A lovely room with a huge bed and 4 fluffy pillows. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Good sized clean bathroom and a balcony compliment. Owner is a lovely guy who makes you feel welcome and takes pleasure in making visit simple. Fast speed internet too.

Only issue here is we should have stayed longer! Great place, really nice helpful staff. Owner is from NZ and was really good and explaining where to go, what to do and their range of available tours was impressive. If we had stayed for longer we definitely would have done some. Used the laundry service here too - 30baht a... More

Enjoyed every minute of our stay at The Britannia! Everything you need, nice and clean and a handy location (walking distance from sat and sun markets). Scooters for hire across the road and laundry service through the guest house. Great to have kiwi hosts (speaking both Thai and English) and such value for money!

We stayed in Chiang Mai for a total of 5 nights, and found The Britannia absolutely perfect. It's located in a quiet area of the old town, whilst still surrounded by some great restaurants and bars. The hosts were so welcoming, we felt completely at home here. Any help we needed to book tours, do laundry (and even cope with... More

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in July. It was a very pleasant stay and we enjoyed it very much. 1. The owners were exceptionally friendly and kind. Their staff were always wearing a smile and the whole place felt more like a family home than a hotel. Very comfortable feel. 2. The rooms were spacious and very... More

We stayed for almost a week and had a great time. The room was nice, clean and the beds are very comfortable. The only downside of the room was the noisy air conditioner, but nevertheless, it was quite powerful. The location is right in the heart of Chiang Mai and most Important parts can be reached by feet. There are... More

We booked the Brittania originally for 2 days and ended up staying 5 as we loved Chaing Mai! Brilliant location, and very clean. The owners are extremely helpful and will book/organise anything that is worth doing in Chiang Mai. Definitely be staying again if we ever go back 👍 Louise & Terry

I have to say this is the best budget hotel I've stayed in during my month in Thailand, and I've stayed in many! It honestly didn't feel like a 'budget' hotel- the room was spotless, made up and cleaned every day, the owners and staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was quite good. Although the hotel is located... More
