We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a bit is away from the centre of the town areas so you need to get taxis. I think it would have been could if the hotel could have provided transfers to the town.
The grounds are attractive, and the rooms are large and clean. However, the location is far from attractions, shopping, and dining. Bellman service was horrible. We ended up returning to the lobby to retrieve our own luggage after a long wait. The bar and dining were expensive with poor service. Wine was not available by the glass, and bottles of wine were overpriced. The breakfast buffet was miserable: small selection, no heat under chaffing dishes (“hot” items not hot), depleted items not replaced quickly. The only bright spot at breakfast was the omelet line, although the chef only used one of the two skillets, so the wait time was unnecessarily long. There were many prominent signs pointing to an Italian restaurant on the premises, but it turned out to have been out of business for quite a while. To be fair, tourism has only recently revived in Thailand following the COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions, so the hotel and dining room are likely capable of far better service and dining, but it isn’t here yet!…
I very much enjoyed my stay at Siripina Villa Resort and would definitely recommend the resort to other travellers considering staying here. I always feel the immediate reaction one has when entering a hotel is a great measure of what’s to come. How do you feel the moment you step into the lobby and how is the first interaction with the hotel staff. These moments are crucial to the overall impression and enjoyment of the hotel. The immediate reaction when entering Siripina Villa Resort can be described as a total wow moment. A cliché phrase I know but it really does apply. It not often you are ‘amazed’ when walking into a new environment. But for sure the immediate reaction of entering this hotel is absolutely that. What is most striking are the incredible interior design and the stunning landscape gardening. It is as if you are living deep in a jungle hideaway. The hotel feels like its nestled in the remote Thai jungle and the hustle and bustle of the modern outside world is miles away. It is so green and lush and screams tropical retreat. You cant quite take it all in its so utterly wonderful. I pretty much ran through the lobby out to the pool in a moment of real excitement. I wanted to see it all and couldn’t quite believe this was my home for the next week. The pool is unique and is so brilliantly blended into the jungle theme. The pool wraps around a central island encouraging you to swim the circular route. Surrounding the pool are the guest rooms and all of this is beautifully immersed in the lush gardens and rich greenery. I wondered if I would ever leave the hotel I felt so immediately relaxed in this natural setting. The wow sensation continued when I was taken to my room. I have described in previous reviews that lovely moment when you turn the handle of your new room and enter it for the first time knowing this is your little home for a while. It’s taken you a whole day to fly across the world and you are exhausted. You have been saving for this holiday for years and you’ve been planning it for months. And finally here you are about to enter your new cozy room so very far away. You absolute want it to be utterly wonderful and for sure my room at this hotel didn’t disappoint. It was huge and not only that it felt like the jungle hideaway theme continued with the design of the room. It was so very Thai with the choice of furniture and décor. I repeated my excited child act from earlier and ran from the room to the balcony to the bathroom trying to take it all in. The bathroom was heaven with a fabulous deep bath and super hot power shower. The balcony was superb and overlooked yet more trees and greenery and in some rooms you have your own pool right outside your room. My neighbours children were paddling about in their aquatic balcony and I certainly shared their wonder. I have not had such a reaction to a hotel room in so long and as stated I really didn’t want to leave this hotel. It felt like I had entered a beautiful Thai retreat deep in the jungle and the real world was so very far away. The staff were faultless and always there to assist with enthusiasm and genuine charm and the all famous Thai friendliness. I always cherish the funny little connection you can build with the hotel staff who are keen to know how your day has been, offer help with plans and are always there to make your stay more comfortable. On this occasion my relationship was a little different due to my reason for visiting Chiang Mai. I was there to have a Sak Yant tattoo on my back. This was undertaken in a temple in Chiang Mai and was a full Buddhist ceremony and completed the traditional way. It was an incredible experience; emotional and spiritual and I am so pleased with the results. Now I needed help three times a day administering the soothing ointment to my aching back and couldn’t reach my back alone. The wonderful staff were so kind and caring and never failed to help me out, taking me to the adjacent family room, helping me remove my shirt and gently apply the cream over the tattoo. It was something they were only too happy to do and it is clearly a sign of their caring and professional nature. The staff throughout the hotel from the front desk to the dining room waiters and waitresses and of course the wonderful doorman who helped me each day with taxis and guidance were all just wonderful and so kind. If you want to feel totally immersed in a tropical jungle hideaway with total luxury and surrounded by wonderful staff then I suggest you book into the Siripina Villa Resort.…
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Siri Panna Resort. We had a very comfortable room. The bed was a little hard. But the shower was spacious and lots of hot water. The breakfast order very plentiful and healthy and delicious. We were a little far from town which was not a problem since you canOrder a cab.
Special shoutout to ms ja for assisting me and my partner khun Terry, during our stay. She has been very helpful especially during flood time . Very hard working woman. A person like her is the reason why we will be back there again soon. Thank you again . ❤️ Anita & Terry
We had two rooms. Both rooms were connecting and I liked that this hotel offered this. Both rooms were spacious and the bathroom had a bathtub and a shower. The breakfast was alright as it had many options but the croissants and donuts were not fresh. The downside was that there was a leak inside a lamp which caused a mushroom to grow on the ceiling. Towels were forgotten to be replenished and sheets were left messy. One pool was so dirty you couldn’t see the bottom. The towels were on low supply so you were given wet ones. Overall it felt dated and not to our standards. Would not come back. Especially as it is far from downtown.
The hotel was nice when we booked it. In really, it's old and not maintain. The team is nice. Pool was dirty, poor breakfast (not too much customers) We appreciate the discount the manager did due to pool issue, but I still remain disappointed.
We stayed in this hotel in July 2022 and we were so looking forward to our stay in Chiang Mai due to all te good reviews/ stunning website pictures etc. When we arrived it was so much different then portrayed. Positive: The room was good (minibar, kingsize bed, airconditioning, shower and bath, cleaning service) The people in the hotel did their best for us, everyone was sweet and helpful. Even tho they didn’t speak English they tried there best. Negative: The hotel was so abandoned due to COVID. Most of the facilities they portrayed on the website do not exist anymore or are lacking in quality. Ex: the woorden bords around the pool were missing and broken. It was so dangerous because all of the eroded metal. When we were looking for the Italian restaurant we found on the site, it just didn’t exist anymore. The 2 pools are little and there were only 4 chairs each? The pool bar also closed. We can imagine that this hotel was once superb but due to COVID it changed. We do not recommend a stay here unless they adapt some things.…
This is a beautiful, first class hotel and spa in Chiang Mai. Excellent accommodations, excellent restaurants and wonderful staff who go above and beyond for their guest. Highly recommend a stay at this fabulous resort and spa to experience a great stay.
Before the pandemic this hotel cost a fortune to stay at. We'd previously tried to stay here back in 2019 but was out of our budget. Thankfully we were able to stay here this year and get a big discount, with breakfast. The main reason to stay is obviously to stay in the Balinese style (Lanna) rooms. If you want a modern room, then you may as well stay in one of the 100s of other normal hotels in Chiang Mai. We stayed in the Royal Lanna villa and our friends stayed in the Deluxe Lanna overlooking the jungle. Our room was large and clean, located near the swimming pool, which I must say is one of the biggest I've ever experienced in Chiang Mai, you can swim right round! Definitely get some good Instagram shots there. I only gave this hotel a 4 star because given how much time off they've had due to Covid, they should really have touched up the minor issues at the resort. Here's my take; - Our room had a gap between the sala and the front door. Everytime it rained, the porch to our room would flood and our shoes would get wet. We ended up having to bring our shoes inside. - The water pressure in our bath tub was poor. It took nearly 20-30 minutes every time we wanted to use the spa. This was likely due to the tap not being correctly fitted (it was loose) rather than the pressure to the tap. - The fish pond at reception needs a good clean, everytime you'd walk past you'd get a waft of fish, not pleasant. - The aircon in the gym still doesn't work. I read someone else's review from months ago, but sure enough we couldn't turn it on either, fix this! - The hotel generally needs a good clean. Areas inside and outside just looked a bit dreary and a good clean, or paint would bring it up to par. Staff were excellent, breakfast was decent and the other hotel facilities were decent, just needed a bit more love to make it the 5 star hotel it probably once was.…
