Joy's house is something out of the ordinary. Whilst quite expensive in parts, it is a great friendly fun and well organised establishment. The children who are part of the children's foundation are kind and always smiling. You feel special to be part of something so worthwhile whilst travelling. Would not want to have stayed anywhere else in Chiang Mai.

Joy's House is the centre of a foundation which seeks to provide help and support to disadvantaged children, some of whom are deaf and dumb. The hotel itself is a few miles out of Chiang Mai but is in a pleasant setting, centred around an old teak house. This is not a 5-star resort but rather a charming refuge where...

Picked up from airport ( always a bonus) . Accommodation clean and Joy is a welcoming host. She immediately started organising our trips which we found a little difficult to cope with having just arrived. However, the Thai massage was very welcome although quite expensive when compared with what we saw elsewhere. The main point of staying here is the...

My experience at Joy's House was amazing. We felt so welcomed and loved from the start. We also had the opportunity to stay at their farm with the children which was a unforgettable experience. The food was fresh, healthy and tasty - i loved making my own green papaya salad! The children were all so inspiring, it was much more...

My husband and I stayed at Joy's house for 6 nights and it was one of the best travel experiences we're ever had. As our taxi was driving off to the sight of Joy and another staff members waving good bye, my husband commented that it felt like we were leaving our own family. Indeed, it did. We felt personally...

We went to Thailand for 3 weeks in November and stayed at Joy's House for 6 nights, we celebrated the wonderful Loy Krathong Festival here too, it was by far the best stay of the holiday. You've probably already read about the fact that Joy & Ulrike, the lovely ladies who run Joy's House also manage a Children's Shelter, the...

First, a disclaimer. I didn't stay at Joy's house, but rather visited there for their New Years Eve party. But it was one of the best nights of my life, and the B&B seems beautiful and clean. Joy's House is a B&B run by the Chiang Mai Children's Foundation. We were directed to go there for the party by a...

It was the 16th of October on a Saturday morning. I was brought to a guest house out in the country side, told that I was going to find a job in this facility. The place was called Joy’s House. It was a beautiful place. Very nature oriented yet very modern. It’s a special place where a family who seeks...
