Absolutely perfect in every way . A stunning boutique hotel on the river ping with everything you could ask for . The food in the restaurant is amazing worth paying a little extra for . Loved the happy hour cocktails. Rooms were great and the staff very friendly . Would definitely recommend and stay there again . Top tip . Wine is expensive but you can take your own and they don’t charge corkage . There is a supermarket nearby to by it cheaper . This is how helpful the staff are !!-
Can't wait to return to Na Nirand! Beautiful riverside resort with outstanding attention to detail and service. Everything about this resort was excellent - the location, food, grounds, and the welcoming and attentive staff.
This may be the easiest review I have ever written. Run don't walk to book your stay here. We stayed at Na Nirand for about a week and by the time we left it felt like we were leaving family. Everyone there was so kind and attentive. The restaurant and spa are not to be missed. The breakfast buffet started our days off on the right foot and we often went to the restaurant at night because they had so many options (don't pass up the dessert we ordered the coco lover and mango cheesecake multiple times). Also after many long days of walking we booked oil massages at the spa and they were undoubtedly the best massages either of us have ever had in our life. Specifically two people made our stay incredibly memorable. Fah, a waitress at the restaurant, we looked forward to seeing her every night. Her warm spirit and sweet attentiveness ended our nights in such a lovely way (we miss her already). And Champ at the front desk literally saved the day when there was some confusion and we missed one our pickups and he was able to help us contact the tour operator and arrange another ride to our experience an hour and half away. Without him we would not have had our best day in Thailand. Thank you Fah and Champ, you made our experience so special. We were also lucky enough to stay here for the Loy Krathong festival and because the hotel is located on the Ping river you can launch krathong right from the hotel! They provided many krathongs for us to put in the Ping river during the 3 night stay, and they had a big celebratory dinner one night with entertainment! From the most delicious welcome drinks, to the night time gifts they leave on your bed, the experience here is unmatched. I hope someday I can come back!…
Loved this boutique hotel and would recommend. Hotel staff were so pleasant and polite, couldn’t do enough for you and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself was kept beautifully, lovely gardens and plants as well as being pristine. There were lots of little extras like bed tuck down where you would get a little edible gift. It was a lovely touch. The room was lovely, very clean and fresh. Nice Thai style decor, big bathroom with a shower and bath. The pool was lovely, not many beds but they were never fully occupied so this wasn’t an issue. The restaurant is located on the river so lovely views and very relaxing. Breakfast was exceptional. Loads of choice, food was beautifully made and tasty. There was a range of breads, pastries, fruit, cooked options such Thai noodles, dim sum etc. there was a wide range of beverages from juices, hot drinks, iced drinks and smoothies. Staff again couldn’t do enough for you. We used the hotel spa and had a massage. It was somewhat pricer that what you can get in a massage shop in the old town but it was worth it. Very clean and professional. The location is a little away from the Old Town but no problem to walk. Also the Tuk Tuks are plentiful and only cost a £1 each way so location was ideal. Away from the old town hustle and bustle but not secluded. The hotel is near small shops, massage shops, the night Bazaar. My only criticism would be the cost of the bar. So they did happy hour between 5 and 7 everyday BUT the price of drinks was very expensive compared to anywhere else in Chiangmai. Similar to back in the UK prices where as most other places you can get a beer for just £1. A nice hotel like Na Nirand you expect some increase in price but it felt excessive and put us off having drinks on principal! Overall it’s a fantastic hotel and I would return and recommend.…
With all these glowing reviews, we thought we must stay here. We loved the idea of a boutique hotel and the location seemed good for getting around Chiang Mai. However, our stay was ruined by the noise experienced from the room above us. The hotel is lovely - the old tree beautiful and the pool is small, but pretty. We were lucky since Thailand had only recently opened post- covid and so there were very few people staying at the hotel. Breakfast was quaint and views of the river wonderful. Our room was a ground floor with balcony - and the room was very nice too. Turn down service in the evening and room service on the balcony. Unfortunately, after the first night, every night after banging from upstairs until late into the night and the bed was also very solid. Nothing ruins a stay more than noise/banging and that ruined the whole stay for us. We thought it would ease up, but it never did and we were just too polite to complain. Based on this, and the lack of facilities mentioned by others like gym and pool size. We wouldn’t stay here again.…
This hotel has such a lovely, helpful staff. The first pool is freezing, the pool by the river is a little more warm. The breakfast is delicious and there is a different variety everyday. The bed is VERY stiff, but after a couple of nights you get used to it.
So, so charming. It is no wonder that it is described as a "romantic boutique resort" but it also works perfectly well for large groups and families. The staff was so attentive and kind, very helpful in all moments of our stay. The ambiance just seems to bring you back in time, for traditional luxury and comfort near a lively area of Chiang Mai (it is close to one of the night markets). The rooms are fantastic and extremely comfortable (the bathroom, in particular, was extraordinary). I had dinner at the resort and the food was great (although one would do well in using bug spray if dining al fresco). Breakfast was included and excellent, with many local and Western options. I am looking forward to my next stay there when I return to Thailand in the future.
Beautiful resort, friendly staff. Convenient location that is of walking distance to good food and night bazaar. Breakfasts are good and the menu changes everyday. The spa is super relaxing and they take great care of injured areas. Overall a wonderful experience :)
Peaceful resort by the riverbanks. Magical breakfast, super nice staff and nice room (with a huge bathroom). Would recommend. Cons (details, really): the pool was a bit cold due to the season and the little bar's chairs not so comfortable.
Really enjoyed my time at this hotel. Suryadev was very helpful with all our questions. The food delicious and the spa was terrific. We ended up leaving the airport by accident and ran into problems with security which was resolved by the hotel staff.
