Wonderful dinner. We have severe food allergies, but we spoke to the staff (fantastic english) and we ate assured. The executive chef was Italian! He came out with our tiramisu in a bowl and served it on our plates like his “nonna used to.” The tiramisu was light and whipped. In addition, EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Kim was very kind and made sure we were happy. Highly recommend
This hotel, unsurprisingly, meets international standards for a luxury, 5-star property. The only real negatives for me were: 1) They are currently doing construction/ renovation of the conference facilities, so there was some noise and dust in some areas, although it wasn't particularly intrusive, 2) The food is just so-so, especially disappointed in the bland, sweet pizza from the Italian restaurant, 3) It's pretty generic, which is noteworthy in a city full of charming boutique hotels with lots of local character. Overall, this is the perfect place to stay on business. The staff is wonderful, amenities are excellent, and the location is within walking distance to most everything. A particular shout-out to Yui in the spa - great massage and facial!
The hotel is going through renovation, but as Elite Bonvoy members we were treated like royalty at the temporary lounge in the restaurant downstairs at the wonderful breakfast buffet and the happy hour time of drinks and snacks. I cannot say enough good things about the whole Thai hospitality, smiles, and willingness to serve and please! Kim at the Le Meridien, was so kind to check in with us daily about our satisfaction even though he is a part of the managerial staff. The concierge staff is very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend the trip to the white and blue temple. We also went to Lampang to the Elephant Conservation Center. All tours have been great and you can book private tours at a reasonable price. All the people are so kind and nice! This location is walking distance to markets, restaurants, temples, etc. Lots to do and see in Chaing Mai! Love it here and would come back!…
Lovely and wonderful experience in Chiangmai during Loy Kratong. Lots of cultural activities at the Thai temples and along the riverside. The hotel is nice with very good location and very convenience in town! Room is clean, comfortable, nice hand drawing picture and greeting message plus complementary delicious sweets and chocolate. Thank you for a warm welcome card by Khun Rajat. The reservation staff and front desk staff were very helpful especially Khun Phueng and Khun Ray. The breakfast buffet at Latest Recipe restaurant was delicious with variety of foods. Service was excellence and staff are always attentive to your needs, special thanks to Khun Rajat, Khun Nam and Khun Kuldeep for taking care of us. Le Meridien Chiangmai is my preference hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. You will not disappoint.…
Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds, stunning views, great breakfast BUT when we arrived we were told the pool is being renovated and that we would have to go to another hotel for this. Not happy that we wernt told this prior to booking, very unfair. Still charged full price, So beware of this.
We ate dinner at Favola. If you are looking for an alternative of Thai food, a western place for a change of taste! Excellent Service by Pla at Favola Restaurant. Great food, well executed and high end ingredients.
This hotel is very nice. The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff are all very pleasant and accommodating. The executive lounge drinks and food were excellent and we will return to this hotel whenever we visit Chiang Mai.
This restaurant is consistently excellent. Food , service , under direction of Kim. It’s first class Italian fare. I first visited in 2015 and every time I visit Chiang Mai I make it a point to eat here. I have never been disappointed at Favola and Lek my server was attentive and professional. A dinner not to be missed. Bravo !
From the moment we were picked up at the airport by their car service and driven to the hotel the service was absolutely excellent. Man, who is our concierge host, pointed out old city the city walls and other sites for us to see as we were headed to the hotel. That helped us get situated in terms of what we wanted to see in the short two days day we had originally scheduled. Once we got to the hotel, Kuldeep met and greeted us by name and gave us a very warm welcome. We were there for a belated milestone 50th birthday and 20th anniversary celebration and they were kind enough to give us a very nice upgrade to a suite on the top floor with a wonderful food/beverage surprise in our room! The suite was amazing and the service excellent. As a lifetime Bonvoy and Ambassador level member, we had free breakfast and happy hour with canapés. The food was so delicious (I love the variety of Asian and western options) and service was spot on. Even though there were renovating, we heard no construction noise and the transfer to a sister property for pool access was quick and easy. Right behind the hotel is great food court, big night market and an open air club with live bands. A quick five minute walk and you’re in Chinatown. Another 15 minute walk and you’re in old city. Lots of massage places nearby too. So convenient and only 15 min from airport by car! We enjoyed our stay so much we canceled our leg to Phuket and stayed here for another 3 days! I highly recommend Le Meridien Chiang Mai. Special thank you to Kuldeep, Adrian and Man for making our stay so very special! Can’t wait to come back!…
The staff were absolutely amazing! Without exception, courteous, professional, friendly, and quite charming. Special thanks to Fon, Jai and chef in the executive lounge/Latest Recipe restaurant, reception, housekeeping.....everyone! Illy coffee is always a positive! The hotel is under renovation, but I did not expect a badly stained carpet in my room. Nor did I expect my (requested) very quiet room to be a couple of hundred meters from a very loud band across the street. That being said, I still enjoyed my stay very much. The room itself was nothing special, but it was pleasant and bright. Although I I did not rate the hotel with five stars (which it could have easily been) I am looking forward to returning to the refreshed, rebranded Marriott hotel in Chiang Mai.
