I can't tell you much about the hotel as I didn't actually get to stay there. I booked in advance and pre-warned them that I would be arriving late evening, I recieved email confirmation which I had with me when I arrived. Upon arrival I was told the hotel was fully booked and there nothing they could do, they offered...

I was very satisfied the first time I stayed in the Guest House, staff is friendly and the rooms are ok, but then I stayed a second time, they lost my passport, I had to move flights, and apply for another US visa (I had one already) and stay in Bangkok for 5 more days all that was money out...

I recommended this place. I stay here for one week, payed 450฿ per night for double room include breakfast. The room are clean and staff very friendly. At night I went to khao san Road to have some drink . Take just five minute to walk away. Next day I have dinner at guesthouse's restuarant, thai food very delicious. Next...

In the first day I arrived at Bangkok. A clash between soldiers and anti-government rally participants. So I choose to live at "Happy House Guesthouse" this quiet and safe. Because the area is far more serious. I stay here about 2-3 days before the trip to Phuket. Staff very friendly.

The locations is good. A little noisy depending which side of the building your room is on. Cleanliness is also not the their game, though the room and bathroom was okay the linen was disgusting!!! Stains on the sheet and both the duvets/quilts in my room had small blood spots… these duvets/quilts also do not have removable covers so I...

I've stayed at 4 guesthouses in Bangkok. This one was rated first in terms of quality, last in terms of service. I did like the full size bed, which they called a double room. The shower heater was new, but not the hottest water. Happy House would have gotten my fullest praises, except for the crappy attitude of the staff....

This hostel I found disgusting, excpecially when there are so many others nearby to choose from. I booked in advance as arrived on a late flight and first time to BKK however the welcome was pretty terrible. First of all I booked on their website for their ''current special" but when we arrived they said the price was higher. They...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

“We stayed in two rooms. 316 had a window that opened to an internal hallway (kind of creepy for a couple of women traveling together and continuous light from the hallway in your room) and 314 had an outside window which was much nicer (natural light) and not so easy to break into your room.”
