Rooms were tastefully decorated, if a little cramped. Nice quality linens, comfortable bed, in-room safe and flat screen TV (with only a few Thai channels). Bathroom was a little shabby, but adequate. The small step into the bathroom was a bit of a hazzard, especially for middle of the night bathroom visits. Only shampoo and a small soap were provided...

My review of this hotel is very simple. Very nice butique hotel in the city centre. Great location, 10 minuts walk to Kaosan road and with very good services. The swiming pool is a quiat small but you can enjoy it during hot days and the roof terrace is great. Rooms are quite small but very clean and you get...

The hotel is located a 5 min walk from the touristy Khao San road in the old city. If you want to be in Bangkok to see the sites, this is the best deal you will find. The rooms are simple and clean. Standard bathroom and mini-bar - all rooms have flat screen TV's as well. Proper continental breakfast included...

We read so much about hotel here and was so happy to have stayed, I came back for final night before departure as well. Pool is really nice to chill out and I can't say enough about the staff from the moment you get your welcome juice to the moment you leave they are so nice and make you comfortable....

We arrived at the hotel for a few days prior to a flight back to the UK. You do need to print the map off from the hotel website as although our taxi driver found it ok, our friend who met us a day later was taken to the wrong place, and we were a few days later by TukTuk....

We stayed at the Lamphu Tree House over the Easter break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As stated by other travellers it is really important to print off the map to show the cab driver from the airport as they will never find it. If using a to cab to return to the hotel at night it is best to...

We spent two nights in this hotel and for the rest of the stay on BKK we choose the other one. Firslty, the hotel is close to Khao san road and most temples but a little bit too far to go there walking (especially with the heat in BKK), You have to take tuk-tuk or taxi. And here comes the...

The Lampphu Tree House is a modest hotel with nice rooms, friendly staff and really great, inexpensive food. We ate dinner there every night because the food was better than other local restaurants. The service was excellent and the breakfast good, although we would have appreciated being able to order kow tum gai (Thai boiled rice soup with chicken) instead...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
