We ended our 2-month trip in Thailand here. We booked a king-bed deluxe room, very good price . We choose the place for its location and for the rooftop swimming pool (good chairs, towel provided) Nicely decorated, you feel you are in Morocco! Large room with a fridge. There is no room service, unless you ask and pay for, no breakfast (covid time ?) The ventilator of the aircon is a bit noisy. We’d come again, no hesitation.
We had originally booked 3 nights and ended up staying 9. That is a testiment of what the hotel is like. We were greeted by two lovely staff who were very attentive and went out of their way to help us with room choice and a few other queries we had. The hotel is perfectly located with plentiful Street food stalls a few steps from the hotel and 5 minute walk from Khao San Road The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was super comfy and given the location it was quiet. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace, with magnificent views over the city. The breakfast was served fresh, each day being slightly different and ranged from fresh fruit, eggs, Thai noodles, Thai rice soup (recommended) and pancakes. All staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. …
Nicely decorated room in a well-kept small hotel near Wat Bovornivet with friendly, helpful staff. Airconditioner was quite noisy and walls thin, though. Convenient location with many restaurants, cafés, foodstalls and shops within walking distance.
We stayed here a couple of weeks ago at the end of our Thailand trip and really liked this little hotel around the corner from Khao San Road. Location, service and staff, cleanliness and value for money are all excellent. It's really close to the "action" of restaurants, shopping and sightseeing in Banglamphu. The staff is sweet and helpful (now they are also including breakfasts, from what we heard), the rooms are very nice - even if small. The rooftop pool area is a nice chill space, you can byob (bar is not open). We would definitely return to Dewan hotel when in Bangkok on a future visit. Recommend this place for a short term stay.
We booked Dewan as we were returning from Koh Samui to Bangkok on our way back to London. The reviews were good and it was practically around the corner from Kao San road which was where we wanted to be! The hotel like many places in Bangkok is hardly visible from the outside but once you walk in it’s something else! Definitely an oasis. Small reception, then the lift and we were on the 5th floor, above us the swimming pool and a very big room in Moroccan feel, very comfortable beds, good air conditioning, nice size bathroom with the good water pressure and normal + rain shower. The only thing I found disappointing is that some place so modern, new and fabulous does not have shampoo/conditioner/soap bottled but rather the dispenser one that was not good. I would recommend you have your own...and there is no room security safe for your valuables although a lock system of the room is on the 5* hotel level. The staff was lovely, the breakfast could have been better , it just felt a bit improvised and basic as there is no kitchen as such but the serving ladies were delightful and kind so we didn’t mind. It can definitely be improved with the kitchen although just a street away in Kaosan road you can have anything you wish from pad Thai, fried scorpions to pizzas and Aussie steaks! I would stay here again for sure!…
Boutique hotel, great design, quiet, very helpful staff. Great rooftop pool and seating area. Could happily stay here for a week! The hotel is in a good location near Khao San Road and the old town but still quiet.
Can't say much since we only stayed here for less than 24 hours, but the location of the hotel is great, its near Khao San Road, but you don't hear the noise. Their rooms are nice as well as their bathroom. They have a rooftop area with a pool and couches where you can chill and just hang out while waiting to be checked in. :)
Slept very uncomfortable w my gf because although i booked double bed, they gave us twin bed. I asked for double bed but they did not help. To cover , they gave us free 1 coke and and nuts :) Ur old security man is sleeping in front of the hotel. Wake him up pls. Location is good, very close to Khoasan Road but there is no voice. Thats good.
For us, the hotel was very good but there might be things worth knowing. The main point for this hotel is LOCATION! It is all about that. We were two single girls and the location allowed us to come and go as we pleased at night even on our own. The pros: - Staff: really nice and accommodating. - Location: I guess I said it but for real you’re two blocks away from Khao San and 15 from the Royal Palace. - Cleanliness: all was good and working just fine. - Style: the aesthetics of the place are really nice. - Comfort: Beds are quite new, bedding, towels.. everything in immaculate condition. - The Pool: amazing though it could use with a later closing time. The cons: - Showers: the water pressure on the fifth floor is low and we had no hot water.. warm was the closest we could get. We didn’t mind most of the time as it is after all Bangkok and it’s 34 degrees outside but still I would have expected that. - Curtains: It depends on how you like to sleep. There are no black out drapes so your room is fills with light if it isn’t an internal one. - Bathroom: even though I find the arabic tone of the place quite charming.. I can’t say that I don’t hate bathroom doors with holes or anything that leads into the room. I this case, the bottom part of the door is a kind of arabic fence which might affect you and your need for privacy. - Aircon: it is quite noisy. I really didn’t mind as I believe that white noise covered part of the noises coming from the street. All in all, It was a great option for us but with tons of room for improvement in terms of comfort. Magnificent alternative for a hostel but pretty close in price to other options such as the Ibis on Ram Buttri.…
The location is perfect it’s on the side of the street of a lively street The rooms are nice but the shower is complicated, the air-conditioning is very noisy and you can hear everything happening on each floor. The beds are not comfortable and there are blue lights on every plugs. There’s a nice rooftop area with a pool but I was all awkward it opens at nine in the morning and closes at 8 PM. Overall not worth the price.
