The absolute nicest, kindest, sweetest staff at a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. This is my favourite area of Bangkok for first time visitors and returning travelers alike. Definitely recommended!
We really enjoyed our two nights at Aurum; Pan especailly made our visit so much nicer. She is exceptionally helpful and was able to arrange all our taxis and had great suggestions for our stay. Thank-you.
Pan was a wonderful host! She was so friendly and so helpful! She made our family feel very special and made our stay there perfect. The staff was fantastic and the rooms were very clean. It is in a great location that I would recommend to anyone! Breakfast on the river every morning was amazing. Such kind, lovely people ❤️
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It was clean, well appointed, and the staff, especially Pan at reception, were very efficient, friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions/temples, including Khao San Road. The river taxi (take the local one, not the tourist one which is 4x the price!) docks close by. Our room had amazing views of the river. It was good to go back and have an afternoon rest out of the heat of the day, before continuing sightseeing /shopping in the late afternoon/evening.
Arum, the River Place delivered on location, friendly/helpful management and AC. We were only there for one night (new year's eve!) so we chose a location on the river and within walking distance to the Palace and the Wat Po (tip- go to both sites in the morning). The two ladies managing the hotel were very helpful and knowledgeable -- my friendly Thai aunts. Our room had a peek-a-boo view of the river. But most important, the AC cooled the room down quickly which - at least for us - was needed. Bangkok is hot -- really hot. Included in the price was breakfast on the balcony of the neighboring cafe overlooking the river and temple across the river -- we chose the Thai breakfast - it was great. For dinner, there are a couple nice restaurants on the river a block or 2 down, it's worth doing quick research, some of them looked better than others at the same price. For short timers like us looking for a tour, consider the quick walk to Dock 6 for the hop off hop on river boat. It gets you on the river and to a couple different tourists sites and the ride is a tour in itself. Last, management arranged a car for us to and from the hotel - 1.5 hours away. The price was right and service was great. We just hopped in the car and got out at the front door of the hotel. We will stay here again. We received so much service and help for a very fair price. The hotel felt like home even if just for one night, I can't do the friendly service justice in this short review -- thank you very much.…
Excellent beds with peace and quiet at all times despite being close to a main road. Stunning breakfast setting right on riverbank to watch the river traffic and jumping fish. Hoteliers were attentive and kind. Breakfast refreshing. Air con worked well.
My husband and I throughly enjoyed 3 nights at the Aurum. Staff is a delight. Rooms are spacious. Air con is great and actually drops low enough for ideal comfort. Mini bar is ample. Breakfast choices are superb. View of the river is terrific. Cant think of anything we didnt like about the hotel.
We spent our last night in Thailand here after traveling for 10 days. It was a perfect end to a wonderful trip. Great location, great view for breakfast, great mattress ( if that matters to you- it was a treat after some of the harder ones we slept on!) I will stay here again when I come back. Pan was generous with her excellent advice, especially how to travel in Bangkok like the locals do, and her warm smile. I will miss her and my stay.
We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. The service was good - the staff was very helpful to address our questions as we explored the city. The hotel is a bit dated, but the rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast is delicious and ranges from both Thai to western-style cuisine. The location of this hotel is excellent, only a few minutes walk from several tourist sites, the flower market, water taxi, and the public transportation (MRT) system. The hotel made for a great base to go out and explore different parts of the city. Pan was an excellent host and made us feel welcome. She worked very hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Thank you Pan for a wonderful experience that we will always remember!!!!
Clean, well located boutique hotel on the river. Comfortable and well appointed. Nothing left out. Delicious breakfast on the river. Lobby decor is a little fussy but rooms are elegant, minimalist and tasteful.we upgraded from smaller room to 4floor corner river view room. Well worth it. Pam , the manger , is incredibly helpful and gracious. Aurum stay was one of our favorite things about being in Bangkok.
