Hi Daniel, take a taxi from one floor down the arrival hall you will be seeing queue for public taxi there is automated vending machine to give you a slip for your particular taxi bay(numbered one) make sure you are in correct queue as there is different queue fot small or large Taxi depending upon no.of travellers.Averege pricing is 600 Bahts to 800 Bahts one way to city centre hotels. there is seperate Airport surcharge of 50 Bahts too.But most taxis also have fixed price chart with them they will show you when you are inside the cab better chose fixed price as it take care of airport surcharge plus tolls on expressway .I can give you a taxi owner no. which we used from hotel to airport it was big Car good for luggage charged 600 bahts all inclusive to Suvarnabhumi airport. He is Mr .Sak no. 0802363978 U can talk to him. Which hotel You are going to check in? I never had a chance for a early check in in my trip but late check outs like till 1 .00 p.m were happily given .May be You reach there and negotiate for a small amount for early check in .Most hotels in theory have check in timing as 2.00 p.m .But if room is available they may consider an early check in.Residrnce Rajataevee have good staff all of them..I hope you may find my reply useful.
