I booked a 3 night stay on Royal Asia Lodge and they would not honor my reservation. After a 23 hour travel from Los Angeles to Bangkok I was so tired to argue with them. I had to pay cash to spend the next 2 nights. The manager was very unprofessional when asked that what he was doing was fraud...

We didn't expect much anyway, because we only choose it for the location (which was good btw) and it included breakfast. But, in hindsight we would've rather pay a bit more or stay in another location. The hotel staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming (really, they didn't even try). Rooms were old and so is the rest of the hotel actually-...

Recently stayed in this hotel, since got a nice deal through an online travel agent. Stayed for three nights.Until the online process it was nice but once reached the hotel, the ground realty is different. First impression; reception staff screaming on two Chinese guests who have booked online but the hotel staff didn't check the online booking and blocked a...

This hotel met expectations again by whittling down the price and not stumbling on any of my major deal points (air-con and the hot shower worked, and only one insect was observed in 7 days). Even though it doesn't take much in powers of observation to see it's flawed and slowly getting more so. The long delayed renovations that'll throw...

I booked this place believing that I would have a deluxe double room with en suit bathroom. Not the case. The property is not as advertised and in my opinion should be removed from any booking site. The majority of staff are poor to say the least and don't really identify with the care of residents, having to stand at...

Although the rooms are in desperate need of updating, especially the bathrooms, the Royal Asia is still good value for money. A short tuck tuc ride from the BTS station at NANA, or a pleasant 10 minute stroll. Lovely quiet location. Breakfast has really improved since my last visit and is now served on the patio rather than inside on...

Location and rooms were okay, although the atmosphere in the hotel was pretty bad and you could notice that the staff is not happy. Not saying hello when arriving etc. Be ready to spend some time with opening the door (locks are broken) and if you have a problem the staff doesn't quite seem to understand.

I have been staying in an enjoyable staying hotel called Royal Asia Lodge Bangkok for 15 days, since January 15th till January 30th. Agoda is the great organizer ever, I would like to say that. So this hotel is located on super convince area, you can travel to get in and go out so easily by a uniquely great shutter...

It's about 600m right near the end of the soi, but they have quite a reasonable free shuttle service by tuk tuk either direction. Towards the start of the soi there is a few restaurants, bars, ATM's etc an it is right next to Nana BTS station so that is great. Downside is it is very near Nana red light...

The hotel was very cheap, and I did get what I paid for. However it is a brisk 15 minute walk from the Nana station and it is well away from all the action. The hotel is worn and not the cleanest I have stayed in and it is showing signs of age. The facilities are minimal and the staff...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
