It was great staying here, the garden rooms are huge with thoughtful touches and the location is quite central. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly so all in all cant fault it. English might be a problem but generally its all OK. I enjoyed my stay and will most probably stay again but there are so many... More

We had booked the penthouse suite. The Suite was excellent and lived up to all our expectations, The breakfast was also excellent! The staff were very courteous and were always ready to assist. The pool area is very well maintained with easy access from the rooms.

This is my 4th stay in 3 years and the place never ceases to amaze me. Usually stay in the Garden Rooms but realized something was up when the porter was taking us in a different direction. They were overbooked so we were put in one of the Boticelli suites at no extra cost. Even if you're not staying there,... More

Since more than 20 years I know the old and new Babylon-Sauna. I still love the new Babylon-Sauna - either barrack rooms or suites - choose what you like and can afford. The standard room cost you roughly 1700 Baht or less for 2 persons per night with free entrance to the sauna and 2 breakfasts; means at least: 800... More

Stayed in a Garden Suite - nice room, quiet in garden environment and with a very nice lounge area. Very nice breakfast. Pool area is very nice with a relaxed atmosphere, a small restaurant and bar with good and relatively cheap food. The gym could do with a brush -up - some of the mashines are quite old and/or do... I'm a repeat visitor and have not had problems that cannot be fixed. Guests need to lower their expectations of a 5-star property while keeping their guard up. Like any place, you need to keep an eye for your belongings and use the room provided safe. For those who have been robbed, my sympathies, but you need to use it... More

I should have known better than stay at an exclusively gay mens hotel - it's just not me. And so it turned out. I felt like I was staying at a glorified knocking shop. My garden suite was a little worn and tatty (light bulbs out which weren't replaced despite reporting it). The shower had mould and a bad smell... More

The property is beautiful. There are plants everywhere. Everything is spotlessly clean. My room on the 4th floor was clean and had good lighting. However, it had neither a bathroom or even a sink for hand washing. To use the restroom or wash hands, I had to walk down a dark hallway to use the communal bathroom/shower. The front desk... More

I am surprised to read complaints about breakfast. I always found it to be great. It might depend upon when you show up to eat. I was always there early and there was plenty of food. Lots of fresh fruit (papaya, banana, star fruit, etc), toast, home made soup, the ladies will cook your eggs as you request (omelet, scrambled,... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
