i agree with some of the comments here about the not so friendly reception staff. but the people during breakfast and the staff at kiosk just outside the reception were amazing. i even got to know Luchin- the always hungry squirrel. the hotel is hidden from the city proper like a getaway after a tiring week or so. a secret...

Negative: Staff reception, not fit to be in the public eye: stupid arrogant not helpful to ask any questions about the hotel. Without good reception, criticizing and bad sides to your face in thai language so that you can not understand. When I first came not explain closing operating room door even as the key to access the main entrance...

Probably the best gay holiday on the planet. Staff were great friendly and helpful. Property is very clean and well maintained. You pay a bit of a premium on everything but it's a unique product It's still a very cheap holiday. Looking at some of the reviews it's hard to understand the complaints. At Babylon you get exactly what it...

My partner and I stayed at the Babylon in early June 2014. We booked into the superior garden room (The Bulgari room I think it was called) and it was great. Immaculate room, super comfy bed, crisp white sheets, all the amenities you could think of and a nice clean bathroom. Breakfast was lovely. As for the sauna, the best...

Very nice accomodation, something very special. In same building as the famous Babylon Sauna. Basic rooms, but even some more luxury studios and villas. The basic rooms in floor 4 to 6 have common shared bathrooms, not that much privacy, but maybe just vthat is the kick....Excellent breakfast in the morning, one free admission to the sauna per day. Staff...

This was my first visit to Babylon Bangkok and I has booked a Bvlgari Room at the rear of the complex. It is unfortunate that many of the staff at Reception do not speak much English, and the welcome could be more friendly. As a first time guest the team spoke to themselves in Thai constantly whilst I checked in,...

Dear Ryan S, On behalf of the Babylon Bangkok management, I would like to express our deep gratitude for your glowing review of our facilities and services. The pool area is private, lots of vegetation, and filled with gay guys, many whom are friendly and social. The rooms were clean. Shared bathrooms? That can sometimes be a bit of a drag, but they're kept immaculate. Some of the folk at reception don't speak much English, but we never had any problems. For the most part reception is...

It was great staying here, the garden rooms are huge with thoughtful touches and the location is quite central. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly so all in all cant fault it. English might be a problem but generally its all OK. I enjoyed my stay and will most probably stay again but there are so many...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
