I didn't stay at the guest house but spent quite a few afternoons at the sauna facility. This place is amazing, large, clean, very busy and reasonably priced . There are a couple of good bars and a few good relaxation areas including a pool surrounded by deck chairs ,sauna steam room and message is available ,but best of all...

Babylon looks much better on paper than it does in reality! We stayed in the Penthouse - so they treated us like gold, as they should. But the facilities are clearly run down and need a large monetary injection. We definitely loved hanging out by the pool and meeting gay guys from all over the world. It's out of the...

We were in Bangkok for a friends birthday and this place was highly recommended to us - the location is great and its an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok set back off the main drag and close by to transport and many places of interest. We booked one of the Baroness Suites and due to my...

I love the concept of Babylon, I really do, it offers a safe and fun haven for gay men. The gardens are beautiful, the pool clean and the gym although having very old equipment, is still excellent. This is where my love for Babylon sadly stops though, this was my 4th, and without doubt, last stay at Babylon. Front desk...

This is my 5th and last stay at Babylon Bangkok. It was always a pleasure coming here and the old manager (a polite white guy) was always very pleasant and professional. This time I booked a room for 1 week and paid in advance upon check in. They put me in room 511 and this room is right under a...

Enjoyed my few hours there didn't experience any rude employees - had a drink at pool bar - ate lunch in coffee shop Good vibe around the place, nice and clean and friendly - all in all I was surprised given some of the negative comments coming through on here

Ok, I already wrote a bad review month ago and I feel sorry about that: I believe in Karma and I feel I must give Babylon one more chance. The place is still fine, the rude manager with ridiculous tight jackets is still being rude with everyone call the phone about a reservation, but from last visit some new staff...

Rooms are small but functional and clean. Shared showers and toilets in barrack rooms. Quick and easy cab into sites. There are local restaurants a short walk away. Sauna busy but closes at about 22.00. Lovely pool to sit beside in daytime. Enjoy.

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
