I did 15 nights in the hotel icon to do my quarantine when I arrived in Thailand on the 10th December . I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asks. The staff were extremely helpful and made my stay very comfortable under the circumstances The room was very clean and has all the facilities to make my stay great . I would have given 5 stars but it was let down a few times by food arriving luke warm a few times. But as it was a new thing for them I accept this was only a minor problem Good hot water daily good tv and android box .Great Wi Fi. Plenty of bottles water ..nothing missing really Many thanks to the hotel Icon and if im in Bangkok anytime again soon I will definitely consider this hotel

Big rooms, friendly staff, lovely pool area with a great view, happy hour from 2 - 10, good breakfast, only a taxi ride away from main attractions, people on site to help with any trips, faultless! Perfect location for day and night and around 30 minutes in a taxi from the airport

Stayed here two weeks ago with my wife. The hotel is located near two BTS Skytrains which was very convenient, about 5min-walk. Awesome shopping malls are nearby as well, the hotel is also surrounded by lots of good restos. Red light is just on the adjacent street, but not visible from the hotel and not loud and wont affect your stay if you are not into this. Room was good enough for us, comfortable, clean bathroom, fast wifi, room service excellent, no issues at all. We tried the room service massage late night which was also perfect to end a tiring day of walking around Bangkok. We opted for the breakfast, which we really enjoyed as there were enough selections. The staff attending the dining area was really spot on, excellent service and very friendly, I wish we could have at least given a tip or thanks before we left, but sadly he was not around when we checked out. The hotel lobby was attended by great front desk staff, front entrance security staff, and ms.Linda who helped us with our desired activity for the day. Overall stay was pleasant and would recommend to colleagues and friends. Kudos to the hotel and all the staff who made our stay memorable.

Stayed here on the tail end of a trip round Thailand in Feb 2020. Overall there’s not much to complain about - the reception was friendly and the room was fine. We didn’t have the breakfast, there were plenty of options around the hotel at a much fairer price, and we only popped to the pool once, which was ok but I wouldn’t expect anything amazing. We had a few electrical issues in our room which was dealt with quickly by the staff.

Staff was friendly and pleasant, always seemed game for a nice chat. Room was clean and comfortable. Mini-bar and snacks included (we didn't use) and safety box (we used). The hotel's proximity to the BTS city train is a plus. Very easy going to/from Suvarnabhumi Airport, Siam Center, the Chao Phraya River, Chatuchuk Weekend Market, and other Bangkok attractions. Many restaurants nearby, especially a short walk east on Sukhumvit where there is an abundance of small Indian and Muslim restaurants. One issue I had at this property: the hotel staff seem very eager to arrange taxis for guests at a fixed rate, in other words without using the taxi meter. I believe it is illegal for public taxis to operate without using the meter, even though no meters/set fares are becoming increasingly common in Bangkok. Regardless, it is just as easy to walk out to the street and flag a taxi who's willing to use the meter (might have to flag down two or three to find one), and the fare will be at least one half of the fixed fare. There are wild "red light" areas within a walk of the hotel, but these places aren't visible from the hotel, so if seedy night life isn't your thing, no problem.

Dear NasokDave, Thank you for valuable input and feedback on what the surrounding area of Hotel Icon Bangkok has to offer in terms of nightlife, entertainment, location and restaurants at your convenience. I do share the opinion as yours with regards to taxis having to use taxi meters which is quite a challenge to regulate unlike countries like Singapore, Japan or the UK. Sadly this effects locals as well who require the taxi meter be turned on but drivers insisting on a flat rate to reach their destination. It's true that you may have to flag down a few taxis before you can find one that is willing to turn on their meter but to save precious time, customers are alright with a fixed rate for a few Baht more. On behalf of all my staff who extended their exceptional services and friendliness in ensuring your memorable stay with us, we hope to see you again soon. Kind regards, Joseph Hotel Manager
