This hotel has gone from ok to rubbish. In this moden age no wifi in room only lobby, no tea or coffe facilities in room. Bathroom need a good overhaul. Got ripped off on checkout only to find the 5 baht bottle of water was in fact not free and charged me 80 baht per small bottle, wasn't even on...

This is the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. The lobby was dark and dreary. The reception/registration staff was inattentive and unfriendly. We had to pound on the desk to get their attention. The room was in need of new carpet and furnishings and it smelled bad. The TV reception was horrible. Someone did come to the room to try...

(+) Good location, nice spacious rooms and a good wi-fi connection (-) However, Staff not spekaing English or any other language but Thai, breakfast limited in choices and not that good, very small pool area and sport center, rooms not always very clean - yellow spots on the face towels that we asked to be changed!

No Hot water, no internet in the room. They charged 1600 Bhat per night including breakfast. But breakfast was so bad and when you see the final bill you will find 500 Bhat charge for BF. Never ever take the BF from them and really bad hotel.

Its a waste of your money and comfort. Aweful !!! The environment makes you feel sick ! The food is also bad and so is the service of the staff. Its better to go for other option. There are many other hotels with same price but good standards in the same area.

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. The bed was concave and at least 20 years old. No hot water. Bugs in the room, leaky pipes in the bathroom. Also there is a night manager who insists on 400 baht payoff if you want to bring a guest to your room. Absolutely the worst place I ever stayed...

This hotel was probably at the upper end of Bangkok hotels when it first opened in the 1970s. Indeed one of the few redeeming features of it, is it is a bit like stepping into a time warp. The restaurant would certainly do for a film set in this period with its high chairs and mirrored bar. Other than that...

This is a standard business-type hotel, you don't really feel you are in Thailand, but the rooms are spacious, A/C and TV work well, comfortable bed with soft and clean sheets. For the price one could do a lot better however it is in a good location with easy access to airport and shopping centres. Very average, functional.

What a hole! Obviously once nice but gone to the dogs. Chose it only because tired and desperate and did not check properly. Firstly 1,600-00 baht for one night is outrageous for this grot-pit, but at least the receptionist who was very pleasant, kindly and honestly warned me that there was no hot water!!. 600 baht would still be a...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
