We stayed in this hotel for two nights in Dec. 2009. I find it to be an average hotel and I don't agree with many of the other reviewers. Our room was acceptable, nothing special; actually a little dark. We faced another building, so no light came through the window and the lighting in the room was low. Same with...

The Presidential Suite for $135 per nights was a bargain - big as a 1 bedroom self contained unit. Service exceptionally friendly. Booked on-line and received FREE internet access in the deal, 2 x 15 mins neck/shoulder massages and complimentary drinks upon arrival. For location, atmosphere and service you couldn't fault it for the price.

I reviewed Trip Advisor extensively looking for a hotel in Bangkok. Although I had attempted to book other hotels that looked appealing for booking before reserving at Siam Heritage, in the end The Siam Heritage was an excellent choice. It is an absolutely lovely hotel. The staff was kind and informed. Very responsive and very helpful. We stayed four nights...

The hotel located on Surawong road where is just a minute walk to Patpong. There are many restaurants, bars, currency exchange, foot massage, beauty salons, and tailors around hotel. About 15 mins walk to Sky train and Silom street. So great location for dining out, shopping, and entertaining. Very nice decoration from lobby throughout hallway and guest room. We stayed...

Brilliant hotel. Location is ideal with Sky train only 10 minutes away and Patpong even nearer for pubs and nightlife (Mango Tree restuarant also worth going to). Great rooms with brilliant air conditioning. Good bathrooms. Sometimes the staff seemed a little confused but they were always looking to help. Pool on the roof is the icing on the cake!

This is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We came here after spending two weeks at the Four Seasons in Bali and Hotel de la Paix in Siem Reap on our honeymoon (which was also great and the best in their respective locations). In an era where every upscale hotel from New York to London to Tokyo...

Really good small hotel with rooftop swimming pool, not to many rooms and very friendly staff.

Go to this hotel if you like an "everything is too much trouble" attitude, faked not understanding of even simple requests and an entire staff who, it seems, are trained to give off an air of indifference bordering on the wilfully rude and who would really rather you left them to themselves. The décor is nice - a bit too...

We arrived at the hotel quite late after a 9pm flight from KL, so by the time we got to the hotel it was after midnight. Check it took aaaggggeesss, not sure if this was due to the time of day. But the wait was worth it. The room (superior) was decorated in Thai style, with lots of teak. I...

We liked staying at the Siamhertage, it was very clean, our room was a good size. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is only a few blocks to the Patpong Market, and about a 3 minute walk to the BTS and the MTR or 10 mins walk to boatexpress to visit the temples to all various shopping. You don’t...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
