The swiming pool is dirtier than the river ganges, the reception workers are tired of working. They treat all the tourists as if we just came to drink. I will never return to this hotel, and its my 5th time in thailand. So sad.

Very basic, clean though. Good location for those that want to party , right on ksr . The noise wasn't too bad once you got into the hotel . The rooftop pool was great and they supplied pool towels . Good price . I wouldn't stay here again because it's not what I'm looking for but is suitable for someone...

You walk out of the lobby and abt 50 steps away is The Khao San Road, the most happening road! It was fun to stroll and watch all the happenings. Even better is to buy a coconut ice-cream with banana and syrup and nuts and lounge on the deck chair as you get a foot massage! There's loud music and...

The reception and entrance was modern and well presented. All staff greated you on arrival. And held the door open for you when you leave. We had a standard queen room. It was small but very clean modern and a great pressured shower. There are no windows in the room but that didn't bother me as we had a good...

Bloody loud obviously being so close to KSR. So close to the action which makes it worthwhile if you're a F boy, or girl.. decent room service which was surprising and the pool is pretty good. 3 channels of TV that are watchable which helps a strong hangover.

Reasonably spacious room. Very clean. Perfect location on the khaosan road, plenty of markets, restaurants, bars and tuk tuks. Breakfast is over the road. Pool has some beautiful views. Downsides: no fridge in room. Other guests quite noisy.

Good: Pool/bar area Breakfast Close to ferry pier Bad: Room we booked was a queen standard but front facing and could not sleep. Had to pay more for a worse room but to the back which was quieter (although music still heard as it is by the two loudest bars on the road). Room had no windows, shower flooded, very...

I have stayed here 3 times. I think its a great hotel for what you pay! The rooms are reasonable sizes and clean. The rooftop pool and bar is a great place in the day to catch some sun whilst hungover from spending the night before drinking on Khao San Road! Literally, the hotel is on the street so its...

Not sure on the quality of a deluxe room but a standard room at D&D is absolutely terrible! The hotel is situated right above a bar which wouldn't be too bad if the hotel had any sort of sound proofing. We may as well have slept inside the bar, right next the speaker. Even with ear plugs and sound cancelling...

I booked this hotel last minute as just somewhere handy and not too expensive to stay in on my last night in Thailand. Myself and my friend couldn't believe our eyes walking into it's massive lobby, it's so hard to believe that this place is in the middle of Khao San Road! Our twin room was gorgeous and immaculately clean,...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
