Not sure on the quality of a deluxe room but a standard room at D&D is absolutely terrible! The hotel is situated right above a bar which wouldn't be too bad if the hotel had any sort of sound proofing. We may as well have slept inside the bar, right next the speaker. Even with ear plugs and sound cancelling...

I booked this hotel last minute as just somewhere handy and not too expensive to stay in on my last night in Thailand. Myself and my friend couldn't believe our eyes walking into it's massive lobby, it's so hard to believe that this place is in the middle of Khao San Road! Our twin room was gorgeous and immaculately clean,...

Stayed for 5 nigths, rooms are clean, comfortable, with little fridge, air con and flat tv. Pool and bar at the roof. Breakfast was served in the restaurant accross the street and is shared with other hostels so it is a little crowdy. Location is very good, you are in the Khaosan road, the one of Bangkok must see places,The...

First off, it was moderately loud but we expected much worse considering it is in the heart of party central (Kaosan road) . One the way in there are a ton of people trying to sell you suites, which is to be expected in Bangkok, however when you just was to get to your room it can be a but...

It is based right on Koh San Road, the rooms have air con and are a decent size. Clean in comparison to some of the places we stayed. The pool is a great addition to the hotel. Would recommend. We stayed here on our first 2 nights and the last night our our experience. Both 4 months apart and it...

Extremely noisy, it sounded like there was a speaker right outside our window. I'm not sure if it was just the room we were in but do not expect to get any sleep before 2am. Right in the middle of Khao San. Wifi was fine. Rooftop pool was nice.

Got a great deal on agoda. Nice, newer room (1607). Comfy bed, hot shower. Pool upstairs is nice, with cool views. Rooms aren't automatically serviced every day, you need to ask or put out the card if you need anything. Free water and had a hair dryer. Breakfast buffet is pretty good if you are patient with the feeding frenzy....

from D&D to DangDerm, i really love to stay here in Khaosan Road, Bangkok. Safe, Clean, Big Rooms, Friendly Staff...though they serve same breakfast everyday from year1 up to present, we don't mind. Value for money, and we will keep on coming back!

Khaosan Road, well located near the Chao Phraya River, Democracy Monument, Wats, etc. closes to traffic mid-day, however, tuk-tuks and motorbikes roam through until the last minutes, so keep your eyes open. As the day turns to evening, the road fills with travelers, vendors, workers, and various hoards coming and going. Dang Derm, D&D's sister hotel is just across the...

Khaosan Road is home to party animals, DO NOT LOOK FOR THAI CULTURE HERE. The area is very noisy till late, if you remain sober you'll regret. The hotel is overrun by party animals, to be precise the somewhat classy-ish ones, as the hotel offers a good value for a bit more money. The rooftop pool is nice. Service in...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
