From the outside it looks like a derelict building, but once inside it's clean and efficient. A large hotel but has 2 lifts. The rooms are basic but clean, large, air conditioned. It is a budget hotel and one of the cheapest in the area

The official English name of hotel is "The Krungkasem Srikrung Hotel" It's easy to find if you find Hua Lamphong railway station (Bangkok's main railway station) or Metro. Good price, good service and super location. When booking, ask a room with street view. The backyard view is no good.

The hotel is situated in the heart of China Town and very closed to Hua Lamphong Station and the Metro. The hotel is a bit of a dinosaur - many many rooms and corridors but clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are spartan but have what you need - the roadside rooms can be a little...

Good location on the edge of Chinatown. Typical Chinese hotel. Just don't take the offer of booking the taxi to the airport as they overcharge. We also found some huge cockroaches in the bathroom. After alerting the lobby, they sent a rather disinterested staff member with an air refreshner... And the wifi was very erratic.

Location is just opposite of Hua Lamphong Station, To go to station you just need to cross the road, walk through the canal bridge & you enter in Railway station compound. Very good value for money.Although I checked in very late night near about 2am still I found a smiling face at that hour.

Location is perfect, Hua Lamphong railway station is just across the road and subway is a few steps further. Hotel is quite old and needs renovation, but beds are very comfortable. Hotel provides everyday cleaning service as well as free bottled water. You can leave valuable stuff in safe lockers in the reception for free. Breakfast is very simple, only...

When we got there it took them a long long time to find our booking. Even though we showed them our hotels.com voucher they just didn't seem to have any idea of what was going on. The beds were rock hard and there was a lot of dust on the headboard. I guess this hotel is okay for one night...

We stayed here for three nights. Rooms is really clean and spacious, breakfast is very-very basic and the free wifi is very-very poor, don't expect too much on these. The location is excellent, just about 150 meters from the Bangkok Train Station and Hualamphung MRT station, so it is very convenient to move around from here. I choose this hotel...

I have never understood why you had to pay more for a room during the weekends. That is finished now. All other details which I have mentioned in previous reviews are still valid. And there is also their restaurant "Valentine coffee shop", good food for lunch and dinner and good drinks also. During your dinner/lunch you can read your daily...

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
