With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Dear davyp777, Warm greetings and thank you for having chosen Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok as the hotel of choice for your recent stay. I appreciate you giving us another opportunity to welcome you back and take the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. Please accept my sincere apology on behalf of our team, as I do understand that we did provide the service that is expected in multiple areas. We strive to service our guest and especially our loyal Hilton Honors guest such as yourself and on this occasion we did not exceed your basic expectation.I understand your frustration at having made a simple request on the room preferences as well as team member response to your feedback. We let you down in that regard and for that, I am also sorry. I am following up on the team on these points, and although I have had their feedback we are also discussing how we can ensure other guests don’t have these same issues going forward. Whilst we did not provide you with a reasonable level of service for your last stay, I did want to thank you to reach out to us, so we can review all these points with our team and ensure we provide better service for all our guests in future. I sincerely hope that you will stay at our hotel again in the near future, as we most certainly look forward to welcoming you back as our valued guest. Kind Regards, Ian Barrow

The Hotel at best was sub-par if not terrible. They were not prepared to attend to International Guests. The staff at the Concierge Desk were not able to communicate in English correctly. The location is great next to Emquartier and Emporium mall. Hotel staff and front office

I think that twin size beds or one king size bed is not enough for 2 audits and one 11yrs kid. Maybe extra a bed is better. If u don't want to do that,I prefer one king size bed.

The room is big enough to add a bed. Not sure how it cost. Maybe $S60. No free pick up from airport. U can get a taxi cost about $S16.

Breakfast buffet was free for us because we were diamond status. Typically at Hilton resorts, breakfast costs about $20-$30 (USD) per person. There are plenty of local places within walking distance that have cheaper breakfasts if you don’t want to pay hotel prices, including a Starbucks. If you book a hotel for 2 AM, you will need to book it for 2 Nov and tell them you’re a late arrival (past midnight); otherwise, if you book it for 3 Nov, you won’t be able to check in to your room until check-in time at 1200-1400 on 3 Nov. Hope this helps.

The electricity in Thailand is 220 volts, 50 cycles/sec. They accomodate both flat prongs (like in the U.S. and Japan) and round prongs (like much of Europe and Asia). Actually, most receptacles in Thailand are two prong, missing the third grounding/earthing prong at the bottom. However, the newest office and condominium dwellings usually offer the third prong due to increased awareness of the importance of grounding for both safety and equipment damage reasons. Most devices run fine on 2 prongs, but some things should have a ground for reasons of both safety and equipment damage, as discussed later in this article.

There is often a foam based pillow available in the rooms, but there is a pillow menu as well. might depend on room grade etc.
