Room was a decent size and the bed comfortable. Slightly shabby, but the room across the hall was being refurbished, so maybe others will also in the future. Room safe didn't work. WiFi was very spotty and we were disconnected frequently....sometimes only being connected for less than a minute before disconnected. It happened not only to us, but to all...

Was upgraded from a deluxe room to a suite in the 15 floor. Room was big, nice, clean and up to date! Pool on the roof top was perfect for doing some taning before going out sightseeing and shopping. Hotel is located central on Silom road, close to the skytrain.

Stayed here for 6 nights whilst doing my teacher training. The rooms are lovely and are spotless. Bathroom was super. New bottles of water daily and change of bedding and towels. The food is lovely and the bar was very accommodating for our large group (32 people!). The staff were very friendly and helped us with places to eat outside...

I get the 1972 comment by a previous user. Furnishing was authentically vintage in the sense that they've been around a long time. In my opinion though, surprisingly well kept. I found the hotel clean and well maintained and didn't have that musty smell old hotels in humid countries tend to have. Location is a bit of a bummer. There...

This was probably a great hotel back in 1972 and it looks like '72 was the last time the hotel was updated. The paint is peeling, the upholstery in our room was tearing and there were holes in the wall. On the plus side The room was very clean and was not too far away from the city center but...

I stayed at this hotel on two separate nights and wasn't hugely impressed. Good points include - nice pool; decent breakfast; good TV; toilets and rooms were very clean. Points for improvement include - poor wifi signal and no urgency to fix it; the sauna was out of order on arrival and didn't work when I returned 3 weeks later;...

the hotel seems more to be a business hotel. it was neat and clean. However, seemed to be much small for a superior room! We reached bangkok on the first day of the protest and hence couldnt venture out anywhere. the hotel hardly had any entertainment to offer within the premises. the complementary breakfast was cold. the hotel is however,...

A really lovely hotel! Lovely beds and clean bathrooms a good television too! Close to the sky train station. A good free breakfast in the morning and a lovely bar/restaurant downstairs which does good priced meals and lovely food. You only get wifi in reception but the staff are very nice. And a lovely pool!

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.

of 5 bubbles Kaisereds, 9 Jan 2016 | Read review
“choose a room with pool view and preferably on the higher floors since the noice from the main road is really disturbing in the night. However, in these rooms, the sunlight comes directly in the room which makes the room really hot, and with such a heat, even AC becomes redundant”
